My work explores what it means to stay human in a system increasingly built to replace human nuance. I write about the philosophical implications of AI, the erosion of creative integrity, and the slow extinction of thought in an age obsessed with efficiency.

I am a Human Intelligence Defender and AI Commentator, speaking on the future of creativity, the ethics of automation, and the irreplaceable intelligence of the human mind.

I am full of rage.

Full of rage because I want to write, think, write, think, write. 
Write. Write. Write.

I want to share my writing with the world, and this sharing travels further by taking my work from analog to digital; but anything published online gets instantly hoovered up by Sam Altman and most of the other techbroligharcs with their fake AI toys that are nothing more than a conduit for stealing, robbing, plagiarising, and decimating anything that we create by intellectual effort or creative craft. 

How can we preserve human thought and language if we don’t think and write for ourselves, and write for others — encouraging them to join in our thinking? To make them question their own thinking? Inspire them to experience the friction that deep cognitive effort requires, so that they can contribute to the collective discourse in their own way? So that they might also come up with new ideas, drive progress, question the system, create something new, or simply make art for the meditative or cathartic pleasure of it?

Most content I read online already tastes too bland, simple, synthetic. Hardly anything stimulates my brain for long enough to feel any sense of cerebral satisfaction. Maybe I’m reading too many books and nothing I read online will come close to that tactile, physical ‘being one with the book’ experience? 

But I know it’s not just that. I know that the internet was a different place 20 years ago when budding and experienced writers alike wrote in long-form (like blog posts), and the rest of us enjoyed and devoured the multitudinous, layered writing that demanded and maintained our focus for longer than a mere 10-second skim and scroll. The internet, and social media particularly, has stolen our ability to focus in any meaningful way. We have shifted our attention from books to screens, depleted our dopamine levels, and we are now perpetually hungry for that quick hit to keep our addiction fed but never fully satisfied. 

So, if you are reading this, I invite you to reflect on these questions, and if you feel like talking about any of this - please share with us below...

At 18, I went undercover in a brothel.

Not your average teenage rite of passage.

But speaking with some of those trafficked girls and then writing up that story got me a scholarship to one of Hungary’s top universities.

And more importantly, it taught me something no textbook ever could:
If you follow the crowd, you disappear.

That same mindset landed me my first journalism job, my first TV gig, and now... It’s what makes clients say things like:

💬 Context for the brothel story (yes, really):

I was 18.
I’d applied for a competitive journalism & English double degree scholarship and made it to the final shortlist. For the last round, they asked each of us to write a hard-hitting exposé.

Most people chose school lunches or youth unemployment.

I… snuck into a Hungarian brothel.

I interviewed the women working there, wrote about the conditions, and smuggled the whole thing into the editors the next day.

They gave me the scholarship.
And a job.

I wasn't after sensationalism.... but I wanted to do what no one else dared to do. 

And that’s stayed with me ever since.
Being different is better than being better.

I just spent over three hours researching and writing a piece for my newsletter subscribers, using nothing but my brain, several academic journals, and the fuel of quiet rage at templated language and AI-written posts.

My research and newsletter topic:
What happens when language becomes too predictable, too synthetic, too… beige?

Turns out, quite a lot.

🧠 Princeton’s Johnson-Laird showed that more complex language boosts our reasoning.

🧠 MIT found richer language improves group intelligence.

🧠 And a 2020 fMRI study (Brennan et al.) showed that our brains literally light up more when exposed to unpredictable, textured phrasing... and disengage when force-fed templated sludge.

In other words:
When you write like a swipe file, your brain (and your reader’s) slowly but surely flatlines.

Which brings me to this:

The problem will always be people.

We’re creatures of comfort; wired to avoid friction, chase shortcuts, and hand over our thinking whenever something shiny promises efficiency.

Looking at you, ChatGPT (and the AI-hype bros who have pivoted from building their crypto empires).

The tech itself is not at fault here. My issue is with what happens when we use it to replace the work rather than augment it. Writing is thinking, and if you outsource both, what exactly is left?

A slow, insidious atrophy of the critical mind.

You can chant 'efficiency' like a bro-marketing mantra all day.... It won’t change the fact that tools fail to build clarity... Because it's actually thinking that does that.

Spend 5 minutes scrolling LinkedIn and you’ll feel the symptoms:

• Prompt-pack déjà vu
• Carousels made from second-hand thoughts
• A wall of noise that sounds smart until you actually read it

I’m not anti-AI, I'm pro-human. 
I am anti-synthetic selfhood.

Use the tools, but keep your voice, and sharpen your thought.
Use the tools, but don’t let them think for you.

Adopting AI is not rocket science (firstly, because it's not real AI, but that's for another post), but remembering who you were before the autocomplete started doing your thinking and talking — now, THAT'S the difficult part!

We’ve been conditioned to value immediacy.

We want the post that goes viral, the spike of engagement, endless likes and reposts.
But short attention isn’t proof of relevance or authority. It’s only proof of appetite.

Compound content, the sort of content people revisit, quote, and even steal from… this is what builds authority.

The returns are slow, but they are cumulative.

Reputation is simply the interest you earn on consistency.

Patience, it turns out, is a better algorithm than any we have yet invented.

How do you manufacture applause?

Easy.
You tell people when to clap.
You give them a script.
And you make them feel like they’re part of something.

That’s the whole game … online and off.

Last week, at the Long Haul Leader Summit in Cambridge (hosted by the brilliant Chris Ducker ), I decided to test this theory with a little social experiment.

I told the audience about my father — a Transylvanian butcher who has no idea what I actually do. When I explain that I run a ghostwriting and content agency, he just blinks and asks, “So… you write for the internet?”
“Yes, Dad.”
“Are you famous then?”
“Not quite.”

Cue disappointment. Because, in his mind, if I don’t have a Wikipedia page, he’s failed as a father.

So I turned to the audience and said, “Today, I’d like your help to make my father proud.”

We were going to make me look internet famous.

I asked Chris to re-announce me WrestleMania-style.
I asked the crowd for standing ovations, name-chanting, wolf whistles, fainting … full-blown chaos.

They delivered beautifully!
And for a few minutes, I felt like a famous rockstar. 😂

What you see online isn’t always what it seems. 

Some people have simply mastered the art of manufacturing attention… all the right words, the lighting, the applause, the illusion of scale. 

AI will only accelerate that noise. 

But the ones who’ll stand out will be those who are the most human. 
The ones who still write, speak, and show up without all the manufactured choreography.

I am pro–ink on fingers, chalk on hands, paint beneath nails.
Pro–sitting across from someone and feeling the electricity of presence.
Pro–conversations that meander late into the night.
Pro–collaboration that feels like art, not just output for the sake of doing.

I am pro–human messiness, because it’s where meaning lives.
Pro–intuition, contradiction, and the sometimes uncomfortable pause before we answer.
Pro–thinking that takes time. Effort.
Pro–writing that makes us remember what thinking actually feels like. Exquisite friction. 

I am pro–human business, human leadership, human work.
Pro–trust built slowly, through gestures that can’t be automated in the name of efficiency or cost-saving.
Pro–building something that lasts longer than a trend cycle.

I am pro–creativity that smells like soul, not circuitry.
Pro–voices that tremble with conviction.
Pro–eyes that light up when ideas land and inspire.

I am pro–preserving what is unreplicable.
Pro–the mind that wanders, the heart that hesitates, the voice that shakes occasionally because it’s real, it’s human and not borne of code.

Pro–human originality… the one thing we have never been able to copy.

I am not against AI…
