I am deeply supporting deep talks, deep conversations, deep investigations and the concept of deep dating - treat each encounter as a micro relationship.

This Sunday I attended deep talks due to the invite of the wonderful host Julia Singh 🇺🇦 who took the title very serious.

The atmosphere she created, the safe space, decoration of guests, how gently she lured us into an atmosphere of trust and topic surrender simply felt natural.

Given by Berlin‘s unique blend, This salon was an essence of this set up. People from different tracks of life, different experiences languages unfold their inner originals and wisdom.  this is the moment where a jet pilot , the most general generalist, a narrative evangelist and an artist talk from investment in se*tech to recipes, travel destinations, glitches in their CV, to their goals for 2026. And in just 10 minutes.

And sometimes it needs just the keyword so you can bond, for me it was Nairobi - imagine barely 15 people in the room, but four of them have lived in Nairobi as I did for a while. I mean it’s not like “I have a nose too.” It’s simply awesomeness.

One of the feedbacks at the end was “ I’m always so surprised how this works when strangers get together”, but honest speaking I am always surprised that it doesn’t work more like this together, as it’s simply natural for humans to exchange story sitting in circles and share food. It just simply seems the western so called “civilisation” has unlearned what’s part of our nature.

Due to HPI we were given the chance to learn and apply Design Thinking in its mid-early days with big clients and honorable projects, e.g. the book reading project initiated by Frank Elsner and Frank Schirrmacher, that answered the question "How can we curb the enthusiasm for reading in kids of lower social levels".

Sie formen Gespräche, Miteinander, Teams, Abteilungen, Kulturen, Firmen, Synergie, und am Ende Ruf und Profit.

Hier einige der ungesagten – von harmlos bis fatal:

„Hallo!"
„Warum?"
Ein „Danke".
Das fehlende Lob.
„So geht das nicht."
Der wichtige Bescheid.
„Das verstehe ich nicht."
Das versprochene Memo.

„Ich muss dir widersprechen."
„Was genau meinst du damit?"
Das „Guten Morgen" trotz Regen.
„Warum machen wir das eigentlich?"
"Das müssen wir mal ausprobieren."
Das „Halb so wild" zur Entschärfung.
Die konstruktive wie notwendige Kritik.
„Hat das schon mal jemand hinterfragt?"
„So gehen wir hier nicht miteinander um."
„Ich glaube, wir machen hier einen Fehler."
„Diese Forderungen widersprechen sich aber."
Die Kundenversprechen statt Kundenversprecher.
Das „Wie geht es Euch?" bevor das Meeting beginnt.
Der Elefant im Meeting, um den alle ihre PowerPoints bauen.
„Das sehe ich anders" – verschluckt aus Angst vor Gegenwind.
Das „Was fehlt noch?" statt „Was habe ich vergessen?" vom Chef.
Die Bedenken gegen die Strategie, die alle denken und keiner ausspricht.
„Traut sich eh keiner" – wenn der Chef sagt: „Meine Tür steht immer offen."
Niemand hat klar gesagt, wie wir hier eigentlich zusammenarbeiten wollen.
Die Krankenschwester, die Falschmedikation nicht meldet. Das Frühchen stirbt.
„Ich hab' eine bessere Idee, aber nach der letzten Abreibung halt' lieber die S..."
Engineering sagt, was Sales nicht versteht. Sales verspricht, was Engineering nicht liefert. Beide sprechen Deutsch. Aber nicht dieselbe Sprache.
„Psychologische Sicherheit" auf dem Poster und  
„Das kannst du hier nicht sagen" 
in der Realität.

Das ist kein Zufall.

Organisations-Schweigen als systemisches Muster: 

Top-Management-Angst vor negativem Feedback, Führungskräfteangst vor Jahresgespärchen, hierarchische Strukturen, geringe Diversität und implizite Glaubenssätze wie „Mitarbeitende sind nicht vertrauenswürdig", Verlieb....klebtheit mit alten Narrativen.

In solchen Kulturen werden kritische Themen verschwiegen: 

Fehler, ethische Bedenken, Zielkonflikte, Überlastung, politische Spannungen und strategische Zweifel.

Die Kosten je nach Org mal easy € 3.900–30.000 pro Mitarbeiter. Jährlich.

Was ist wohl der gefährlichste ungesagte Satz in deinem Unternehmen?

Mein Name ist Göran. Ich schreibe Gedichte. Und Leadership-Analysen die ans Mark gehen. Analytisch und menschlich –  die Geschichten hinter den Geschichten an. Damit du dich, dein Team, deine Kundenkommunikation besser verstehst. Macht kaputt was Euch kaputt macht:

Ein Kommentar zu „How AI Destroys Institutions." Die Hintergrundgeschichte macht das Paper extra pikant: Die Rechtsprofessoren Hartzog und Silbey aus Boston wollten eigentlich positiv darüber schreiben, wie KI Institutionen stärkt. 
Nach ihrer Recherche änderten sie den Titel in: „How AI Destroys Institutions."

Die Bedrohung – ernster als gedacht. 
Der Wille, Institutionen zu schützen –geringer als erhofft. #conveniencebias Also  schrieben sie etwas anderes – dringlicher, nüchterner.

📋 Ihre These: 
KI zerstört nicht durch Fehler oder Missbrauch – sondern durch ganz normale Nutzung. Die Angebotscharakteristiken im Designs selbst sind das Problem.

1️⃣ Der erste Mechanismus ist simpel. 
Wer ChatGPT fragt, fragt nicht die Kollegin, baut somit keine Beziehung auf. 
Lernt daruch nicht, was nur Menschen weitergeben können: 
Urteilsvermögen, Kontext, implizites Wissen. Flurgespräche, Mentorings, gemeinsames Ringen um richtige Lösungen – all das wird übersprungen.  Wissenspipelines, über Jahrzehnte aufgebaut, brechen innerhalb von Monaten zusammen.

2️⃣ Der zweite Mechanismus betrifft Vertrauen. 
Menschen, die  „Workslop" produzieren werden für weniger kompetent, weniger kreativ, weniger vertrauenswürdig gehalten. #Selbstdiskreditierung
Institutionelles Vertrauen erodiert in Echtzeit, ohne dass jemand einen Fehler gemacht hat.

3️⃣ Der dritte Mechanismus ist psychologisch. 
Das Menschenbild hinter dem „Hilf mir schreiben"-Button lautet: Du kannst das nicht allein. KI-Erfolg hängt auch davon ab, dass wir uns inadäquat fühlen.  Das menschliche Geschwindigkeit nicht Speed ist. Wer glaubt, nicht mehr selbst denken zu können, hört auf, es zu versuchen.

🕞 Besonders beunruhigen: 
KI kann (bisher) nur rückwärts schauen – auf Trainingsdaten. Die Fähigkeit von Institutionen, sich weiterzuentwickeln und auf veränderte Umstände zu reagieren, hängt davon ab, dass Menschen die harte intellektuelle Arbeit des Neudenkens leisten. Wird diese ausgelagert, erstarren Institutionen.

❓ Was können wir tun?

✅ Individuell: Menschen fragen, bevor wir prompten. Beziehung ist oft wichtiger als die Antwort (!!!). Das Schwere üben – schreiben, denken, argumentieren. Stuhlkreise zur Konfrontation nutzten, nicht zum Topfklatschen.
Fähigkeiten trainieren, die KI zu ersetzen verspricht.

✅ Kollektiv: Räume schützen, in denen Bedeutung gemeinsam entsteht. Gespräche mal ohne Protokoll-KI. Orte, an denen intellektuelles Risiko möglich ist – wo Unfertiges gesagt werden darf.

✅ Institutionell: Die Strukturen kartieren, durch die Wissen weitergegeben wird. Diese Pfade gegen Effizienzargumente verteidigen.

✅ Die eigentliche Frage ist nicht nur, wie wir KI besser nutzen. Sondern was wir wissen, können und sein wollen – unabhängig von ihr.

A study by Doshi & Hauser (2024, Science Advances) precisely shows the paradox: AI increases individual creativity but reduces collective diversity - AI-assisted stories were 10.7% more similar to each other.  

It might be even a trap we dont recognize, a classic social dilemma: individually users are better off, but collectively, a narrower range of content is produced. 

A Yale/Princeton study by Messeri & Crockett (2024, Nature) warns against a “monoculture of the knowledgeable” in which AI systems are treated as a singular, authoritative authority – instead of a diverse scientific community with different backgrounds and expertise. The Ouch: “There is a risk that scientists will use AI to produce more while understanding less.” they say.

Since a while, I feel philosophical explosives. 

Wittgenstein said: “The limits of my language are the limits of my world.” In the age of AI, we are experiencing an inversion: it is no longer my language that defines the limits of my world, but the language of a statistical model, trained on a specific corpus, that becomes the limit of all worlds that can be thought through this interface. 

Even though the menu seems broad, no one asks for another one anymore. 

Stupid, isnt it?

When autocomplete and suggestions pre-structure thinking, the space of possibilities shrinks to the statistically probable. 

The unthought, the linguistically new - precisely what Wittgenstein later described as living practice in his “language games” - is replaced by the repetition of what has already been said. 

Language becomes a cage of predictive mediocrity, rather than a tool for making sense of the world.

Today's training data is not a neutral knowledge base: 

An estimated 90% of the training data comes from English-language sources - and not just any English, but primarily mainstream American. How disgusting is this? Old hegemony in a new disguise?

Research now speaks of “algorithmic colonialism”: this represents the algorithmic reinforcement of hegemonic values and forms of knowledge that are deeply intertwined with the Western-centric rationality of science and colonisation. 

What if we'd entertain a knowledge base of indigenous wisdom that emphasises deeply rooted in connection to nature and community?

So “low-threshold” (Wikipedia, Reddit, digitised Western media) - becomes the epistemic norm. We are not facing a technical issue, but an epistemic crisis. The “boundaries of my language” are no longer defined by my community, my way of life, my experience - but by the statistical probabilities of a model that privileges Western, English-language, text-based forms of knowledge. 

The “world” is becoming smaller, more homogeneous, more predictable - and we hardly notice because it feels soooo comfortable.

We are right in the middle of the insidious unravelling of human interiority, substitution of pattern-matching, predictive mediocrity for thought, and the global outsourcing of imagination and creativity. 

It’s screaming into my face, but there are way too many people still barely noticing it.

I wrote ‘Thinkbait’ because I could feel this drift way before it became fashionable to panic about AI slop. The ChatGPT-hype bros called me a Luddite and anti-progress but I am pro-human.

As a mother of two young children, this fear feels even more poignant. At the rate our schools seem to be adopting more and more screen-based activities in their classrooms, I worry about the algorithmic accents my children will acquire, or how they’ll be shaped by thinking in autocomplete rather than using their own imagination.

We cannot outsource the very thing that makes us who we are and then expect no consequences. 

This feels philosophical now; existential even; and every one of us who still cares about the future of human thought needs to be aware and become alarmed by what’s happening to our minds and our language in this moment in time. 

Soon, we’ll reach a point of no return if we stay on this trajectory.

Ads in ChatGPT are the last resort.

First they sell access.
Then they ration use.
Finally they sell you.

Intelligence never arrived.

Warum KI-Erkennungs-Bias ein Führungsproblem ist, das du nicht siehst

Uchechukwu Ajuzieogu hat gerade eine Studie geteilt, die mich innehalten ließ:

61% der Texte von Nicht-Muttersprachlern werden als "KI-generiert" geflaggt.
Nicht weil sie KI benutzt haben. Sondern weil sie zu sorgfältig schreiben.

Gleichzeitig passieren lockere Muttersprachler – voller Slang und Fehler – als "authentisch menschlich."

Lies das nochmal.

Wir haben Systeme gebaut, in denen Präzision Verdacht erregt und Nachlässigkeit Menschlichkeit signalisiert.

Das ist kein Tech-Problem. Es ist imho ein Reifegrad–Problem innerhalb von AI Architekturen. Und immer wieder müssen wir daran denken, dass bei Einspeisung von Daten in AI der größetes Teil aus angloamerikanischen Quellen stammt, und damit auch Biases und Sichtweisen übernommen werden, die diese "Kultur" mitnehmen und Haltungen ebenso.

Führungskräfte werden in Zukunft, bis das behoben ist ein großes Maß an Narrativen Intelligenz bzw Awareness brauchen, damit Inklusion, Fairness und Einordnungsfähigkeit nicht nur Theorie bleiben.

Was Führungskräfte sehen müssen:

Deine internationalen Teammitglieder passen ihre Kommunikation an –vereinfachen Vokabular, bauen absichtlich Fehler ein – um algorithmischem Verdacht zu entgehen. Das klingt nach intellektueller Selbstgeisselung.

Eine "Authentizitäts"-Kultur kodiert möglicherweise eine sehr spezifische kulturelle Stimme als die einzig akzeptable und reflektiert die Angleichungshypothese, die AI nachhängt.

KI-Tools tragen vererbte Annahmen darüber, was "normal" klingt. Diese Annahmen sind nicht neutral, siehe oben. Sie sind westlich, informell, muttersprachler-zentriert.

Das unsichtbare Muster:

Wir erleben die Entstehung von linguistischer Performance-Angst auf globaler Ebene. Menschen lernen, schlechter zu schreiben, um zu beweisen, dass sie Menschen sind. Für Maschinen, die auf einem schmalen Ausschnitt dessen trainiert wurden, was "menschlich" bedeutet.

(Nicht nur) Führungskräfte, die über Kulturen, Sprachen und diverse Teams hinweg arbeiten werden eine neue "Literacy" brauchen, um die Implikationen der sprachlich-sozialen Verzerrungen auszubalancieren.

Double-Checking vorm Einordnen. Das persönliche Gespräch wird wieder wichtiger werden, je mehr dieser Abgründe auftauchen.

WIe können wir besser darauf achten, wer  zum Schweigen gebracht wird –nicht durch falsche Policy, sondern durch nebulöse Patterns?

I just completed research on something disturbing happening in real-time: AI detection tools are punishing the wrong people.

Here's what we found:

61% of essays written by non-native English speakers are flagged as "AI-generated."

Read that again.

A Nigerian researcher writing carefully in English? Flagged.

An Indian engineer crafting precise technical documentation? Flagged.

A Brazilian scholar polishing their academic paper? Flagged.

Meanwhile, native English speakers writing casually, full of errors, slang, and "authentic messiness", sail through undetected.

We're not just talking about inconvenience. We're talking about: 

→ Academic papers rejected (80%+ rejection rate when flagged)
→ Job applications discarded 
→ Professional credibility destroyed 
→ 28,000+ translator positions eliminated globally

The paradox is brutal: Systems designed to preserve human authenticity are creating new forms of digital colonialism.

What counts as "authentically human"?

Turns out, it's Western. It's informal. It's comfortable making mistakes without consequence.

If you write too carefully, because English is your second language, or you have dyslexia and rely on assistive tech, or you were trained in formal academic writing, the algorithm suspects you're a bot.

So writers are adapting. They're:

- Deliberately introducing typos
- Avoiding sophisticated vocabulary
- "Dumbing down" their natural voice
- Performing imperfection for algorithmic audiences

Think about that. Humans are learning to write worse to prove they're human.

Meanwhile, AI companies are training models to... mimic human imperfection.

We're creating an arms race where the endpoint is philosophically meaningless: both humans and AI performing identical patterns of strategic "authenticity."

The deeper issue: This isn't just about detection technology. It's about who gets to participate in global knowledge production.

When careful, deliberate prose gets flagged as suspicious, we're essentially saying: "Write like us, or don't write at all."

My new paper documents this across 20+ languages, multiple professional domains, and emerging verification markets worth $2.3 billion.

The policy implications are urgent. Current approaches aren't just technically inadequate, they're creating new mechanisms of exclusion disguised as neutral quality control.

One question keeps me perplexed:

If the cost of proving you're human is abandoning your authentic voice, what exactly are we preserving?

Aber was wir gerade erleben, hat eine neue Qualität: politisch aufgeladen, hitzig, radikal und unvorhersehbar. ISM-Dozent Prof. Dr. Ulrich Lichtenthaler hat es entwickelt, um das unliebgewonnene Chaos handhabbarer zu machen:

Die Welt ist jetzt PUMO:

⚡ Polarized = polarisiert 
🫣 Unthinkable = undenkbar 
🦋 Metamorphic = sich ständig verwandelnd 
🔥 Overheated = überhitzt

PUMO bringt ins Spiel, was VUCA und BANI nicht auf dem Radar hatten:

VUCA war gestern! Willkommen in der BANI-Welt 👋 (auch wenn du jetzt vermutlich nur Bahnhof verstehst)

Als ich vor mehreren Jahren zum ersten Mal von VUCA hörte, dachte ich: Endlich ein Begriff, der beschreibt, wie sich die Welt anfühlt.

VUCA steht für:
🌪️ Volatile = volatil
❓ Uncertain = unsicher
🧩 Complex = komplex
🌀 Ambiguous = mehrdeutig

Danach hat VUCA viele meiner Gespräche mit Führungskräften geprägt.
Es war ein hilfreicher Rahmen, um Wandel einzuordnen und Führung neu auszurichten.

Aber ganz ehrlich: Heute reicht das nicht mehr.
Denn was wir erleben, geht tiefer – es ist emotionaler, brüchiger, schwerer greifbar.

Die Welt ist nicht nur VUCA. Sie ist BANI:
🧱 Brittle = brüchig
😟 Anxious = ängstlich
🔀 Non-linear = nicht-linear
🤯 Incomprehensible = unbegreiflich

BANI bringt das ins Spiel, was VUCA oft ausgeblendet hat. Den Menschen.

Und genau das spüre ich täglich in meiner Arbeit mit Organisationen: Emotionale Erschöpfung. Unsicherheit. Reizüberflutung. Deshalb braucht es heute mehr als Strategie und Klarheit. Es braucht Empathie. Sicherheit. Transparenz.

Was heißt das konkret?
👉 Im nächsten Post zeige ich, wie wir trotz all dieser Unsicherheiten handlungsfähig bleiben, mit einem Ansatz, der genau dafür entwickelt wurde: Effectuation.
