Ein paradoxes Kunststück: 
Je schneller wir laufen, desto weniger kommen wir an.

Die heutige Arbeitswelt ist ein Arrangement aus Dauerimpulsen.
Kalender in der Pressmaschine.
Enkörperte Meetings schwarzer Vierecke als Endlosschleifen.
Die Hände: Below the line.

Kommunikation, die nur noch reagiert statt sich in --> folgerichtiges Handeln zu übersetzen. Übertönung statt Überholung.

Organisationen wundern sich, warum Führung schwächelt?
Der Grund ist brutal einfach:

Beschleunigung frisst Beobachtung.
(und auch Empathie, Resilienz und Ressource, btw.)

Überladung frisst Logik.

Dauerreaktion frisst Urteilskraft.
Führung entsteht nicht aus Geschwindigkeit, sondern aus Sensorik.

Führung = Spürung!

Aus der Fähigkeit, Mikro-Signale zu spüren, sie einzusortieren, Spannungen zu rahmen und Muster gegeneinander ins Verhältnis zu setzen und dann – und wirklich erst dann – klug zu handeln.

Doch was machen wir stattdessen?

Wir pressen Entscheidungen durch Engpässe.
Kommunizieren Zahlen als Mittel zum Zweck.
EBIT ist ein NoBrainer, aber keine Motivationsanker.
No means – no end.

Auf der Strecke geblieben? Der Pulscheck für Synergie. 
Flow experience. 
Zugehörigkeit.

Ich sehe Menschen Tagespunkte staffeln wie ein taktisch schlechtes Tetris.
Ein Spiel mit den falschen Souffleuren.

"Ich nehm dann eben den Rechner mit in den Urlaub."
Klar doch. Loch.

Wir kompensieren Unsicherheit mit Aktionismus.

Das Ergebnis:

Organisationen ohne Gedächtnis.
Entscheidungen ohne Weitsicht.
Kommunikation ohne Körper.
Teams ohne Richtung.
Klagen ohne Kontext.
Eile ohne Weile.

Die Ironie:

Wir beschleunigen so stark, dass wir blind werden.
Technik macht's möglich. 
Aber wer fragt: Quo vadis? 
Und "Warum?"

Wir reden so viel, dass wir nicht mehr hören.
Wir planen so dicht, dass wir nichts mehr verstehen.

Gute Führung braucht eine andere Architektur.
Eine, in der Wahrnehmung wieder Vorrang bekommt.
In der der Moment l a n g s a m genug wird, 
damit neues Denken überhaupt entstehen kann.

In der der Körper ein Informationsorgan wird 
– nicht nur ein kaffeebetankter Träger ermüdeter Gehirne.

In der Logik aus Raum entsteht, nicht aus Rush.
(O-Ton: "Wir brauchen mehr Spielraum.")

Die wirksamsten Führungskräfte, mit denen ich arbeite, 
haben eines gemeinsam:

Sie kultivieren strukturelle Entschleunigung.
Nicht als Wellness, sondern als strategische Praxis.

Sie wissen das:

Wer langsam genug sieht, handelt schnell genug.
Wer klar wahrnimmt, trifft schärfere Entscheidungen.
Wer weniger kommuniziert, kommuniziert präziser.
Vielleicht ist das die eigentliche Führungsrevolution:
Nicht schneller werden.

Sondern wacher.

Leadership isn't a skill problem, it is a relating problem.

Otti Vogt outlines here so well, what I continuously observe in the realm of my work: Leaders barely manage to steer cohesion.

Surely the reasons are complex, but some are obvious. But added to them we still focus too little on group narration, group dynamics, cohesion and rhythms that amalgamate diffuse inner development levels and a lack of looking for the whole:

⚡️ High stress levels leads to a lack of empathy, with themselves as others.
⚡️ They often lack basic leadership skills as they were educated for sth else.
⚡️ Often I see a lack of language agility, they speak in frames borrowed from a  world of manageable tech, rather from a relational reservoir, a #WeQ
⚡️ They decide and think based on internal thinking rather than observation of what happens around them (often due to a perceived/replicated lack of time)
⚡️ Loads of status anxiety blinds them for the real thing (WE are in this shit together; and a wrong tale of psychological safety is even worsening the status quo, by avoiding the conflict due to false harmony)

"Inner development" is great, but not when it replicates the capitalistic #logic of #competition. Thus we are mislead to speak from degrees of maturity based on individual skills rather than on realtional skills.

THE FETISH OF "INNER DEVELOPMENT"

From leadership retreats to global frameworks like the #IDGs, we’re told the path to a better world begins “within”: better mindsets, deeper presence, more empathy. The premise sounds benign—even noble. But it rests on a profound misconception: the idea that inner transformation is apolitical, a private operating model upgrade rather than a socially and historically situated process.

This is not a harmless mistake.

When we detach “the inner” from structures of power, institutions, and justice, we turn human development into a technology of adaptation. Instead of transforming the world that produces alienation, burnout, inequality, or ecological collapse, we train individuals to cope with it more gracefully. The inner becomes a buffer—an emotional shock absorber for systemic dysfunction.

The result is a politics of self-improvement that masquerades as societal change.

Popular leadership development frameworks recycle this logic. They present virtues—humility, empathy, openness—as acquirable skills, stripped of moral and political context. But genuine virtues are not free-floating traits. They are formed within communities, contested through conflict, and oriented toward substantive conceptions of justice and the good. Without this grounding, “inner development” collapses into meditation classes and ethical minimalism: feeling good, relating better, collaborating smoothly—while entrenched institutional patterns and structural injustice remain untouched.

This depoliticised turn inward reflects a deep cultural anxiety. When systems feel too large to change, we retreat into the self. But positive psychology is not political transformation. And a framework that treats human beings as self-optimising monads cannot address the structural absences—unjust property regimes, broken democracies, extractive finance systems, exploitative legal norms—that impede genuine flourishing.

The truth is: The "inner" is always political. Persons are formed within ideological social systems, not in spite of them. If we simplistically develop our "inner world", we are already taking sides in a moral space that is left fundamentally unexamined.

Any developmental model that ignores ethical, institutional and political complexity becomes, inevitably, a tool of status-quo maintenance: a moral placebo, a wellness add-on to a world in flames. Critical judgment is replaced with performative empathy.

True development is not the incremental scaling of competencies. It is the deepening of practical wisdom and the ability to craft narratives, build institutions, and sustain relationships that uphold shared moral horizons in which people can become good. The task is not to regulate the psyche to fit a broken world, but to transform the world so that our inner lives no longer shrink beneath the weight of its failures.
