Over the years, I’ve seen organisations invest heavily in enablement initiatives that fail to stick.

I know because I’ve made those mistakes too.

Early in my career, I focused on fixing performance at the individual level, only to realise that the system itself was holding people back.

I learnt the hard way that no amount of training or resources can succeed without addressing the foundational barriers within the organisation.

That’s where I come in.

Over the last few months, I’ve been digging into the less obvious side of enablement hiring.

The things hiring panels actually notice, but don’t always say out loud.

This new piece is the culmination of conversations and surveys with 35 sales enablement leaders and managers (I’ve tagged them in the comments).

Collectively, we’ve sat in hundreds of interviews.
