I see some ridiculous things on LinkedIn. 

It’s getting worse. 3 things I hate lately:

1) Fake vulnerability posts 

Talking about when you lost everything. 
When really you’ve never lost anything.
Real vulnerability isn't a marketing tactic.

It’s being honest about the low moments along with the highs. 

2) “Guru” content from people with zero proof 

"I made $1M in 90 days. Here's my blueprint."
Really?? If that’s true show me: 
The Stripe dashboard or actual clients 

Anyone can claim they’re making money, very few people can prove it. 

3) Sending DMs like this…

Hi [Name], I help businesses like yours 10x revenue in 30 days. Shall we hop on a call to talk about how we can grow your business?”

No, thanks. I won’t be hopping on that call. 

I’ve been posting on LinkedIn for 3 years. 

Ridiculous trends come and go. 

But this is what actually works on LinkedIn:

→ Post real stories not manufactured ones
→ Have actual conversations in DMs
→ Help people without being weird about it
→ Stop trying to "hack" everything

Just be a normal human being.

It’s actually pretty simple. 

What else winds you up on here?

When I worked the 9-5 I said I’d be rich.

My colleagues laughed at me.

On my vision board I wrote by 30 I’d be:

→ Driving a red jaguar F sports type
→ Flying private all over the world
→ Be a multi-millionaire

Life now at 34 looks a little different: 

→ I’m working 80 hours instead of 40
→ I don’t even have a car (couldn’t care less)
→ I’m still not a millionaire

On paper, it looks like my old colleagues were right.

Yet underneath the surface:

→ Built 2X 7-figure agencies (for other people)
→ Hired and built multiple teams of 20+ people

Everyone on LinkedIn is fighting for attention.

But I just booked 14 calls using 'dead' leads.

Here's how. I listed out everyone who:

1) I'd had a call with (they didn't move forward)
2) Had a positive conversation with (didn't have call)
3) Downloaded a resource of mine (didn't speak yet)
4) They've interacted with my content (didn't speak yet)
5) Viewed my profile (didn't speak yet)

Then I'd send a personalized DM

The objective = Start a conversation

e.g. if they engaged on my content:

"Hey (firstName), thanks so much for engaging on my post about LinkedIn outreach. Got me curious, what's your strategy?"

If they don't respond send 2 follow-ups.

Do that with everyone in the list.

Once I'd built rapport I'd ask about their goals.

If I can help them get there offer a call. 

I gurantee most people reading this could book at least 10 calls doing this.

Because it's way easier to sell to people who already know you VS strangers who don't.

Problem is noone wants to put in the work.

Some things never change, hey?

I used to think success meant outworking everyone. 

34 years later, I realised I was wrong. 

I've spent years trying to "hack" success:

- Working 18-hour days
- Sacrificing relationships
- Doing everything alone

But the only thing that actually worked?

Finding people with ambitions like mine. 
Not letting them do it alone. 
Not letting yourself do it alone. 

Here’s how you can do the same: 


1. Find people who have similar ambitions
2. Reach out over DM on LinkedIn
3. Jump on a Zoom call
4. Understand their long-term goal
5. Ask what’s stopping them from getting there
6. Give solutions so they get there faster
7. Repeat this process with 5-10 people
8. Organise a meet-up with the group in person
9. Give them an experience they’ll never forget
10. Keep meeting up and providing value
 
If you want to go fast, go alone.
But if you want to go far, go together.

The right person in your corner changes everything.

"I hear you. What specifically feels too expensive about it?"

9 times out of 10, it's not actually the price.

It's that they don't see the value yet.
Or they're scared of making the wrong decision.
Or they got burned before.

This framework actually works:

1) Agree

"You're right to feel that way."
"I see where you're coming from."
"That makes sense."

2) Get curious

"Help me understand what concerns you?"
"What would make this feel better?"
"What specifically doesn't sit right?"

3) Redirect together

"Based on what you've shared..."
"Now that I understand better..."
"Let's figure out what actually works for you."

When you do this the walls come down. 

It goes from "you vs me" to "us vs the problem."

It’s not about being a pushover. 
It's about getting out of your own way.

Your need to be right is costing you money.

And more importantly, relationships.

Try this next time someone objects.

Don't defend. Don't justify.

Just listen.

They’ll probably talk themselves into it.
