I had a post lined up, witty, clever, likely would have led to a few more clients on the waitlist, easy money at the heels of true, hard work. Reading this, I realize how empty I really am, absolutely filled by Him.

The difference is akin to believing you are connected to your soul or knowing you are. The price to pay for this is immeasurable and I don't know anyone worth a grain of salt or more who has earned such a caliber of knowing with sunshine and rainbows. I don't know why things happen, I don't know what does or doesn't happen for a reason

I haven't cried for 8 months, the duration of time I haven't seen my daughter so that I may be able to set up the future legal-wise

Thanks for sharing this, Brian. I finally shed a tear, not one of pain or sadness. But of joy, content and gratitude. No BS empty and vapid sense of love, instead the kind that makes you feel warm, invigorates the soul, a rush of light eager to destroy darkness in health and medicine, reminding me of why I do what I do

And that I'll do it as long as my legs will carry me. Cause compared to Jake and what you said about his legs? The pain in my legs is non-existent

Jake being taken back for probably his last radiation at St. Jude. Marsha tells me he isn’t wanting to walk anymore. His legs hurts him too much. He kept telling his leg hurts and he wants to go home last night on the phone. It was too risky for him to not have any more treatments after the latest scan to start the trial waiting period, so he is getting one more round of chemo and radiation. The chemo has been delayed due to him catching flu. 

It is hard to watch and know he conitiues to  suffer, but what I’m facing and thinking is hard is nothing to what Jake is physically feeling. I’m still holding onto to hope, still holding on to faith that it be His will to take this away from Jake. There is purpose in everyone, purpose in every single thing we do, everyone we meet. There is purpose in this, I don’t have to understand it to feel it. I trust in the Lord to see us through.

Not trying to scare you, don't need to fast
All I know is clients who got the shots?
They weren't doing too well, tell them not to worry


Tell them their blood work that looks like that of an 80 year old is just fine and to boot? They still trust reference ranges on blood tests

Some choose to dig their heads into the sand. I don't. You do as you think is best for you. Those who got the shots? I'll keep doing what is best for them

Guess where they empty?
From tissues/organs into the bloodstream
This is the main reason you feel an energy drop

It slams your kidneys so hard?

You think you're going through labor pains (client said this one best)

THAT is how painful it is

However, some must make this mistake, so that they learn from it: they learn just how little they were loving themselves and trying to do it their way rather than realizing asking for help was a very loving and strong way of doing it

Love and strength is His way. Not asking for help and trying to do it your way is not. Ironic how our way is the most painful and His is the least painful and most loving. Maybe we don't choose his way of fasting, of improving our blood work, because we don't know how to learn with love

The only reason any shortcomings, any lack of results from asking for my help, is a mistake... is if you don't learn from it and give up

You give up? I can't help you, maybe He can, but that's not a wise chance to take with the ultimate healer.

Lent, huh? So you're fasting for 40 days? 10 days?
How bout you suck on some bone marrow?

I don't see you at 3AM walking another through near death
I don't see you fasting monthly
Have you ever really fasted?

Or does the cross over your forehead just wash it all away, no need to fast?

I have little patience today cause the ones who are reaching out?
They have loved ones who could have helped them and... didn't. Instead your loved one had to hire me as their father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle... because you, their own blood relative, couldn't help them.

It's ok, I'll take it from here, to save their lives, you can go ahead and focus on your lent, all while 'that stuff' does its engineering in your DNA, you know?

The darkness comes out of me when I see the open hearted suffering so much, then again, following Him is not supposed to be a cake walk. Forgive me if I offended you in this post, I'm venting as hard exercise and reading and praying and spending time with friends only goes so far...

My clients, the wives who fast? They see this clearly, their desire to be like a man surfaces, they think they know how to fast better than I

Better than Him

And their pain is so severe, so immense?
Even fasting with blood work cleared, with an IV, with all the support from her husband... it's not enough

This is not a male domination issue: it is women trying to outdo men, the lie they bought from society, movies, but mostly lack of HEALTHY male figures in their lives.

I am surprised how many times this has happened. The women, specifically the wives, must feel this pain, they must make the mistake of thinking their bodies work just like that of a man's as if this is a competition...

Women, wives, sisters, aunts, grandmothers... this is not a competition against anyone but yourself and when you think you know how to fast better than someone who has done it already? Better than the simple method that He has laid out?

You think the world revolves around you and you will not admit this until the pain physically and emotionally breaks you during your first fast.

Do not feel shamed for doing this, do not give up, allow yourself the grace, the love that you have allowed yourself to be robbed of. We all go through trauma, but after a point, it is time to stop being a victim and realizing surrendering control to another is not being weak

It's extreme strength and love, the kind that makes you into a leader of the heart, so that the men in your lives can go on and do what they were mean to do: protect and provide no matter the cost, knowing the price is worth it because you, women, will be coloring their lives through your hearts

Women, if you don't have a man to support you like this?
He's sick and needs help, cause our worlds are black and white and grey without you. Send him over, watch him fast aka open his heart without needing to sound like a victim, but a strong loving man and then you will be able to let go and fast too.

The couples who have made it together have done this spectacularly well and they have ABSOLUTELY suffered... only to finally be victorious together

No BS health and connection with Him, the rest follows, including the children

Ever seen an 11 year old want to fast? I have, it is amazing and was all because mom and dad did it first.

Men, lead the women in your lives and watch them add the boldest of colors to your lives

If it's showing up on your blood test already? You're too far gone and I can't show you how fasting can improve all of it till you actually try it.

At 45 years old, I decided to get baptized as a Christian. Here's why: 

For most of my life, I chased success, money, achievement, and recognition. On the outside, things looked great. 

I had a successful career, beautiful family, multiple properties, and plenty of money in the bank. But on the inside, I felt empty. 

I was constantly chasing the next goal, and nothing I accomplished filled the void I felt inside. I was stressed, overwhelmed, and was always operating in survival mode.

“There’s nothing wrong with you. It is human nature to sin. And Christ already died for your sins so you could be forgiven and set free.”

For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel broken. I didn’t feel shame. I felt hope.

What I couldn’t do on my own, God enabled me to do. 

Through His strength, not mine, I got sober. 

I was forgiven. I was healed. I was reborn.

Five years later, that same pastor baptized me.

For me, Christianity is not about religion. It’s about my relationship with God and my daily attempt to walk with Christ.

To embody love.
To practice forgiveness.
To choose humility over ego.
To find peace instead of chaos.
To live with joy and gratitude every day.

I am flawed. I fall. I am a work in progress. 

But my faith gives me a North Star. A way to measure who I am becoming, not by success or status, but by how I serve others. 

Everything good in my life today exists because God did what I could not do. 

He healed me. He freed me. He helped me become a man I am proud of.

Finally!!!! 

I tried to fill the void in my heart with everything else but nothing worked. 

Only God could fill that void. 

I’m deeply grateful for this journey, for this second chance, and for a God who stayed patient for my entire life and met me exactly where I was.
