We've been hosting a series of best practice dinners at nextNYC thanks to our friends at KPMG US and Stifel Bank. 

Our latest one was with Hunter Walk of Homebrew and it accomplished exactly what I wanted--to show our emerging partners and principals group an example of an investor who is both phenomenally successful financially and who lives by a positive set of values. 

He's one of the most self aware people I know in the industry and his thoughtfulness and humility about his path to success, his partnership with Satya Patel, and his decision to work with new emerging managers at Screendoor has always been refreshing--right down to the moment where he had to pause our chat to take a selfie with a little octopus as part of a tradition he has with his daughter whenever he has to travel for work. This way, she knows he's thinking of her even if he's on the road.

We appreciate his daughter and Caroline Barlerin's willingness to lend (return) him to us in NYC for an evening.
