People ask me "is there room for another venture firm?" 

Here's what i say. No... not if it's just another carbon copy of the same strategies, same people, same fishing pond.

You'd think that would always be true, but for much of venture's history, there was room at the inn for generic investors. 

Increasingly no longer - although Darwin runs at half-speed in venture so it's going to take a while to purge the mediocrity. 

Screendoor is helping though :)

it's always touching when you see a more experienced, wiser AI agent mentor a younger bot who was just brought into the world
