The new model for companies.... Instead of specs and waterfall, teams gather around living prototypes and sculpt them together through evolutionary, exploratory development. It's the death of ego — your entire work stream is visible, mistakes and all.

I'm heartened because so much of this article reminded me of how we're building Seven Seven Six and Cerebro (our operating system) but also gave me great anxiety that we're not doing enough, fast enough.

Founders: Start spending tokens, build campfires (living prototypes), create space for hive-mind-style innovation, and learn the new organizational lessons that emerge when coding is no longer the bottleneck.

I'm hyped for this 776 company to come out of stealth. Luxury brands have long been battling counterfeits and Luci Holland and her team have the taste, the moxie, and the tech for the challenge. Get ready.

Cerebro.AI (the operating system I designed for 776) is getting scary good. Asif recently shipped a killer AI Chief of Staff for everyone at the firm. What an amazing time to be building a VC fund (or any company tbh!).

LambdaVision, Inc. just locked in commercial space on Starlab — Voyager Technologies' next-gen space station — and it matters more than the headline suggests.

These folks have flown 9 missions to the ISS. Not for science experiments. For manufacturing. Specifically, the 200-layer protein thin films at the core of an artificial retina designed to restore vision for patients with retinitis pigmentosa.

Microgravity isn't a gimmick here — it's the whole point. Layer-by-layer assembly in orbit produces more uniform, stable films than anything you can reliably make on Earth. Gravity gets in the way. Literally.

With the ISS retiring in 2030, this Starlab agreement means their manufacturing roadmap stays intact and — more importantly — starts planning for real scale.

This is what a commercial LEO economy actually looks like. Not astronaut selfies. Biotech companies treating space as critical infrastructure.

Congratulations to the team at Interlune [776] on receiving a NASA Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I award.

At its core, NASA’s STTR program exists to bridge the gap between early-stage research and real-world application by enabling collaboration between innovative startups and academic partners. It’s a reminder that some of the most impactful breakthroughs happen when curiosity meets rigor and mission-driven engineering meets academic excellence.

Interlune’s work on scalable lunar trenching and excavation in partnership with university researchers embodies this principle. It’s exactly the kind of cross-disciplinary effort we need more of—where ambition, creativity, and scientific inquiry come together to tackle complex challenges.

I want a future where public sector mission goals and private ingenuity work hand in hand to benefit humanity.

This morning, we announced details about a NASA Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I contract to advance our expertise in high-volume, continuous excavation to support lunar resource extraction and Artemis Moon Base construction.

Colorado School of Mines will help us dig into ways to reduce tractive force, power consumption, and dust compared to traditional trench-digging techniques.

Nothing short of groundbreaking. ;)

One of the biggest surprises for me owning and starting sports teams wasn’t on the pitch—it was in the back office.

When we started Angel City FC, I didn’t expect how devoid of modern tech the industry was. Incredible operators, huge pressure, real money on the line… and so much of the business still running on disconnected tools and manual workflows.

So with my teams and my league, I built the operating system I wanted us to have. But I’ve always known that kind of bespoke solution isn’t realistic for most owners or operators.

That’s why I invested in Arkero.

When I became an owner at Southend United Football Club (Go Shrimpers!), one thing jumped out immediately: incredibly talented people running critical parts of the business on manual processes, email threads, and spreadsheets stitched together by sheer effort.
Then I stepped in as an advisor to the Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC and saw the same story - just at a different scale.

Different leagues. Different continents. Same pattern:
Legacy systems. Fragmented data. Workflows designed for another era.
Sports organizations are complex, high-pressure businesses. Yet the operating layer often looks like the internet never happened - let alone AI.

I’ve seen this movie before.

At Remitly, we took an industry built on cash counters and storefronts and rebuilt it mobile-first. What used to take days became seconds on a phone. That was the mobile wave.

Now we’re at the AI wave - and sports is next.

Collectively, this group has ownership and deep involvement across more than a dozen global sports teams and leagues. They understand the operational reality from the inside.

We’re using this capital to focus where the pain is highest: operations and cross-team coordination. Our model is simple:
We embed.
We work alongside operators.
We act as strategic technology partners.
And we build AI systems that fit how clubs actually run — not how software vendors think they should.

Sports businesses deserve modern operating systems.

Big milestone for Mast Reforestation [776]; these are the first biomass burial carbon removal credits delivered that actively funds reforestation on the same land. 

Fire-killed trees buried ➡️ carbon locked away ➡️ restoration begins this spring. This is durable climate action, end-to-end in less than a year.

Big news! Mast Reforestation has sold and delivered the first biomass burial carbon removal credits from our Wood Preserve MT1 project in southern Montana. Buyers and advisors include RBC, CNaught, Workato, Rocky Talkie, HMC Architects, Muir AI, SE Advisory Services, and more. This first issuance is registered with Puro.earth. 

This project has buried more than 10 million pounds of wildfire-killed trees, delivering immediate, durable carbon removal that directly funds recovery and resilient reforestation. 

This spring, Mast will be planting thousands of locally-adapted seedlings around the project area, from wild seed collected and cultivated by our Silvaseed and Cal Forest nurseries. 

A full circle story. A major milestone for durable carbon removal—and wildfire recovery.

After wildfire, ecosystems aren’t empty. They’re full of life, with wildlife navigating the recovering landscape. 

This watering hole on the MT1 property—visited by a bobcat, coyotes, and wild turkeys—shows how wildlife continues to use and depend on these lands as they recover.

At Mast, our work pairs durable carbon removal with on-the-ground forest restoration, supporting healthier ecosystems for the species that already call these places home.

Last week, we announced the sale and delivery of MT1 credits, which pay for restoration on the same property, providing valuable habitat for the species that rely on it.
 
MT1’s first issuance is more than 80% sold, with limited volume remaining.
