I spent 90 minutes with Daniel Priestley last Tuesday.

But what I haven't stopped thinking about is their funnel.

The experience Team Dent built leading up to it. The intentionality. The way it kept me engaged without feeling manipulated.

Worth walking through if you're building anything online.

How I got into the funnel…

1. A LinkedIn post.
I already follow Daniel's work, so when I saw it, I clicked straight through. That led me to the registration page.

2. The Sign-Up Form
Name, email, phone, region.
Then two simple questions: 
→ How much income is your business bringing in? 
→ What type of entrepreneur are you?
They were segmenting right from the start.

3. The 1-Minute Video
After I registered, I landed on a page with a short intro video. It didn't oversell. Just set the tone. Told me what to expect, how to prepare.

By the time I finished, I wasn't just registered. I was ready.
Then came the SMS reminder to add it to my calendar. Multi-channel nudges without being pushy (I appreciated that).

4. The Assessment (This Part Stopped Me)
Below the video was a link to the Key Person of Influence Assessment. Five key areas that measure your current level of influence.

Here's the thing about assessments... we're wired to want to know more about ourselves. Interactive content generates over 50% more engagement than static content (So of course I took it 😊).

When I finished, I got a detailed scorecard via email. It showed exactly where I scored in each area, what to work on, and included a workbook to help me prepare for the webinar.

I wasn't just a registered attendee. I was invested.

5. The Bonus
They also offered a free PDF of the Key Person of Influence book, sent directly to my email.
It wasn't pushy. Just… there if I wanted it.

Why l have been thinking about their funnel.
It wasn't transactional. It was relational.

Even if I hadn't attended the webinar, I would have walked away with value.
