Clay

1.5 years in, Clay is an incredible tool, and honestly, one of the best GTM products I've ever seen. 

It's incredibly powerful. But also incredibly complex. 

Like Figma for design, or Webflow for websites.

So we're building programs, content, and partnerships to help make Clay easier to learn no matter who you are and where you're starting from. Stay tuned for updates 👍🏽

Education

We had the idea to start trying to build an enterprise sales motion. So to test it, we just threw an Enterprise plan on the website, created an inbound form and let me loose on calls (which was honestly too much to handle in addition to building our RevOps infrastructure/creating a playbook etc.). 

We sold two initial clients on a white-glove services test and learned that ... it wasn't a great model. 

In January we moved to more of a platform sale model and that went much better. I built out the core sales process, demo tables, and created our custom POC model.

Closed some very cool (and very fun clients) I'll name another time.

Founding GTM Engineer

I attempted to build our initial data infrastructure for billing, product usage, and analytics using Mixpanel, Segment, Zapier, and Google Sheets. Honestly, I did a pretty bad job of this. Stood up some very primitive mixpanel dashes + duct-taped sheets that bided us over till we hired a real data genius in November 🚫

What I *was* able to do a much better job of was building out internal automations and ops to help our team 10x their work. Built 50+ automations that spanned all company functions, a few automation examples below: 

• Reminder emails for failed payments and follow-ups 
• Community management tools and messaging for Slack and internal partners 
• Product feedback + bugs -> engineering and lienar tracking 
• Daily product metrics summary and billing engagement 
• Sales, churn, and reactivation notifications for customer management 
• Round robin assignment of sentry bugs to engineers 
• Product announcements and updates from engineering -> customer team 
• Reactivation emails/NPS score sends 

and tons more.

• Led development of multiple internal tools. Automated contact-level research enrichment, LinkedIn saved search scraping, client performance dashboard visualization, and more.

• Managed a team of 4 using Zapier, Airtable, Phantombuster, ReTool, Google Sheets, Metabase, SQL, and 9+ tools to automate 1000+ hours of employee time allocation.

I was hired as a teacher at St. Anne's Belfield to help manage and grow the demanding need for the school's computer science program – which had grown to be the most in-demand elective at the school. We taught traditional CS in an environment that integrated math, art, projects, and peer-to-peer learning to really engage students. 

As a teacher, I also co-taught the Senior Entrepreneurship Seminar, where we helped students consult for local businesses and learn Lean Startup/Design Thinking principles to build their own companies.
