Well, as an SEO content writer, I think Hell becomes a writer's fate too sometimes.

How?

These digital pages we write and edit on are not merely pages. 

These decide the fate of an SEO content writer's life.

So we get heavenly bliss when our content published on the client or employer's site ranks high on Google.

But at the same time:

When our writing effort takes too long to show results, or our content doesn't perform well due to unforeseen circumstances or someone else's fraudulent activity, we get hellish scars.

We are tested more than other professionals in the field of SEO content marketing.

The pages we see ranked online are not there merely due to content writers' efforts.

The results we see come due to the diligence of keyword researchers, graphic designers, and SEO experts as well.

And other factors matter a lot too like websites' speed, theme, and web host resource quality.

But obviously, content is king. 

Really?

Well, not for SEO content marketers. Only high-quality written content isn't enough. We have to be so much strategic, unique, and transparent for our content nowadays.

This job is not easy for beginners.

And sometimes, even experienced writers find it difficult to write their blog posts for international companies under their tough criteria.

So please stop spreading the message of false financial gains in the name of content writing jobs on YouTube or anywhere.

This kind of writing job is meant for real and diligent writers only.

You say butterflies are beautiful.

And...

You say cockroaches are ugly.

But both are insects.

You say a lion is graceful because of his roar.

And...

You say a hyena is disgusting because of his sound.

But both are beasts.

You say Shakespeare was popular in his era because of his literary works.

And...

You say Saadat Hasan Manto was a controversial figure because of his literary works in his lifetime.

But both are considered great writers of literature in today's age.

Your perception won't change the reality of something whether the reality is bitter for you or not.

Therefore, suppose we say Ali is a great SEO content writer in XYZ (country). However, he may not be a good fit for international companies unless he improves himself a lot.

Similarly, when you say someone is a bad writer for our company because they are unable to write 5k or 3k words daily on their own, this doesn't mean that they can't be a good fit for international companies. 

I don't intend to criticise companies for the excessive daily word count limit today. It's their choice for their business. But honestly speaking, if you want to hire a great senior SEO content writer, then they can only write 1600-2000 high-quality words on average daily. 

Google rankings are not easy to get and continue for any company nowadays. So please hire only serious, skilled, and diligent writers for your company.

Plus, let me know your preference for the daily word count limit and the reason behind it.

I don't know why we are so cruel with job applicants.

If you schedule an interview with someone, at least inform them beforehand that you won't conduct the interview at the fixed time due to unforeseen circumstances.

Even if you intend to cancel the interview in place of postponing it, at least inform the applicant about it.

Why on earth do we not have this professional ethic to inform the applicants about our change related to scheduled interviews?

You do not want to conduct an interview. It's okay.

But why are you wasting someone's time?

I stopped naming bad companies online for the sake of compassion and to sound more professional.

But it's really embarrasing to have such companies in Pakistan who do not care about the time, effort, and resources of applicants.

If we really want to make progress, we should at least have humanity for all people.

A play, Pygmalion, written by Bernard Shaw, raised a solid point for all writers, including SEO content writers.

In that play, speaking in English with a good accent is a standard of superiority. 

Well, Shaw criticises his society for doing that. And he's right morally. But I think using a language elegantly can bring a strong competitive edge for a good SEO content writer. 

Besides, you might also have noticed these famous writers have an elegant style of writing. So if you also train yourself in writing words with elegance, you can gain a high competitive edge for your client or employer.

But how can your writing be elegant?

1. Try to write like famous writers. With time, you can write in your own unique style that others would credit a lot for elegance.

2. Write your sentences by using simple and somewhat complex words. Most of the time, your words should be simple. But even writing simple words with a different but impressive style would make you reach your goal.

For example, 

Elegant style: Get a professionally-built home with the options you choose. Yes, your options, that can make a simple house a dream home to live in for your family.

But commonly, a writer would write:

You can customise your residence with us. Yes, with multiple customisation options, you can create your home as per your preferences.  

3. Add proverbs, idioms, phrasal verbs, anecdotes, bucket brigades, famous quotes, and literary devices to increase the engagement and elegance of your work.

4. Add bullets and numbers where possible in place of paras to write more impressively and concisely.

5. Then, write your content somewhat as if you're writing fiction. But don't overdo it. You're an SEO content writer, not a fiction writer.

The point is if your customers trust you more than they love your offers, your marketing content is really top-notch.

Yes, no fake customer reviews, no fake case studies, no fake whitepapers, no fake ad campaigns, and no AI-written fluff can make you sound highly credible online.

People are quite smart nowadays. They somehow sense the reality of many promises that they read online. This era is the era of information. And they can know about the false popularity and real fame many times  that different brands get online and offline.

So the best you can do online for the mind of your target audience is show them the real brand you run.

Yes, show them the real value through your SEO content that your products or services can bring on the table for them.  

No commercial or informational written content can save your brand whether you make it written by a famous writer or advanced AI tool if you add false details in it.

Your blog posts, your legal & important web pages, your newsletters, your social media posts, your ebooks, and your other articles create your image online. Ensure to make it more credible rather than more lovable.
