AI has already begun replacing many entry-level and mid-level tasks - code generation, debugging, documentation, boilerplate work, simple CRUD apps, and even parts of testing.

 We can’t ignore that reality.

And this shift exposes a hard truth:
👉 Not every software job will survive.
 👉 But the software industry as a whole will remain extremely relevant.

Here’s why:

AI can write functions, but it cannot:

 Architect a system end-to-end
 Understand business constraints
 Manage complexity
 Ensure security and compliance
 Build scalable infrastructure
 Make judgment calls under ambiguity

These are the responsibilities that will define future software professionals.
🔹 Degrees will change too

Traditional 4-year software engineering degrees may shrink.
 Many courses becoming unnecessary:
 Manual coding
 Basic data structures
 Entry-level programming exercises
 Universities will probably shift toward subjects like:
  System design
  Cloud & DevOps
  AI + software collaboration
  Product thinking
  Cybersecurity
  Architecture & patterns
  Problem solving fundamentals
  Students won’t need to memorize syntax — they’ll need to understand    
  systems.

🔹 AI will replace tasks, not people who solve problems
    The new software engineer is:
     ✔ someone who uses AI as a co-worker
     ✔ someone who thinks in systems and architecture
     ✔ someone who understands how tech impacts business
     ✔ someone who can lead, design, optimize, and innovate
 
That talent will remain irreplaceable.

When I started it was learning everything, watching tutorials, understanding and applying and revisiting the concepts to be correct on the path.

But now with AI just basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript and libraries or frameworks you are using, a phenominal website can be created in minutes not hours.
