The Honor Foundation (THF) is a non-profit organization that looks for Special Operations Forces (SOF) military who are hungry for a transition program that is tailored to their skill sets, experience levels and competitive nature.

Executive coaches help these amazing warriors transition from the military environment to the corporate environment by providing support in a number of roles - teacher, mentor and confidant. Executive coaches challenge THF Fellows to think differently about how they approach their transition and explore ways to navigate a corporate environment through the employment of interpersonal soft skills, while still building upon existing skills. 

THF has been designed as the premier Transition Institute for the US SOF community. From the very start THF has collaborated closely with the global SOF community, top business schools, and America’s finest companies in order to create a SOF specific transition pipeline that gets results.

There’s a simple way to find out what you really value.

Look at your calendar.

Not the mission statement on the wall.

Not the goals in your head.

Your actual, hour-by-hour calendar.

That’s the truth-teller.

I did this audit myself a few months ago.

Pulled up my calendar and asked:

→ Where am I spending time out of habit?
→ What am I overcommitting to?
→ What’s missing completely?

The answers weren’t always easy to face.

But that clarity? Game-changing.

I cut a few standing meetings, blocked time for deep work, and added more margin for the things that matter — workouts, family calls, thinking time.

Leadership isn’t just about what you say yes to.

It’s about what you make time for.

So here’s a quick challenge for the week:

Open your calendar.
Circle the things that reflect your real priorities.
Cross out the ones that don’t.

Then adjust accordingly.
