Yesterday I ran loops around my neighborhood.

Not my usual route.

I can't run in the park or at the beach.
I need to stay near shelters. 

Israel. War. Still running. 

Because I'm not "trying to stay fit."
I'm someone who moves.

Here's the thing about behavior change:

Most people think it's all discipline.
But the brain doesn't work that way.

❌ "I will workout 3x/week" 
❌ "I will speak up more in meetings" 
❌ "I will be strategic"

"Trying to get fit" → skipping is easy 
"Someone who moves" → skipping feels wrong 

When your identity shifts, behavior follows. 

Not through willpower. 
Through alignment.

✅ I move (even when it's hard)
✅ My voice adds value
✅ I think strategically

The question isn't "What should I do?"
It's "Who am I becoming?" 

P.S. Yes, this photo is from the desert. No, I don't live in the desert. I live in Tel Aviv. I just don't usually stop to take selfies mid run.

A senior program manager told me last week:
"I know what I need to do. I just can't decide"

I asked her to say it out loud.
She listed four things.
(all pointing in different directions)

That's not a motivation problem.
Or a confidence problem.
That's just a lot of noise with no one helping you sort through it.

What I do in 60 minutes isn't therapy.
Not mentoring either.

It's closer to: 
let's sit down, figure out what you actually want, 
and leave with one clear next step. 

That's it.

One next step you can explain to yourself in one sentence.

לאחרונה מהנדס אחד שיתף אותי 
״יש לי תפקיד מעולה, מנהל שמפרגן, שכר גבוה...
אבל בשבועיים האחרונים אני פחות מצליח להירדם בלילה״

היה לו עומס מחשבות סביב העבודה שלא נתן לו מנוחה.
והוא ממש לא לבד.

לא תמיד אנחנו מצליחים לייצר מרחב לעצור ולשאול: 

✦ ״איך לשמר ביצועים גבוהים לאורך זמן בלי להישחק?״
✦ ״מה הצעד הבא שלי בארגון שיקדם אותי בכיוון שחשוב לי?״
✦ "איך החוזקות שלי יכולות לתרום לארגון בצורה שמחוברת ליעדים העסקיים?״
✦ ״מה אני באמת רוצה מהקריירה שלי (היום, לא לפני 5 שנים)?״

בעולם של הצפת מידע, שינוי מואץ וחוסר ודאות, ״לחשוב יותר חזק״ או רק להעביר משימות ל-Done כבר לא מספיק. 

כדי לא רק לשרוד, אלא להצליח, כדאי לאמץ תפיסות חשיבה וכלים שמצמצמים עומס קוגניטיבי ומאפשרים להסתגל למציאות החדשה ממקום של בחירה והתכווננות. 
 
כשאין שיח ישיר על הנושאים האלו, מגיעים די מהר לשחיקה שקטה, 
ירידה במוטיבציה וטאלנטים שמתחילים לפזול החוצה הרבה לפני שמיצו את מה שיש להם לתת בארגון.

Do you know what your next move should be?

Sharp people. Strong teams. 
Solid culture. High pay.

Still, she’s been feeling stuck.

In our last session, we focused on one question:

“What can I make meaningful today?”

That reframes the whole situation:

from ❌ “What’s wrong with this role?”
to ✅ “Where can I create impact, learning, or connection this week?”

Quitting should be part of a strategy, not an impulse.

Before you start browsing for new opportunities, try these:

✦ Expand the problem you own
 take one real bottleneck (cross-team, technical, customer) end to end.

✦ Rewrite the constraints
tweak scope, cadence, visibility, or responsibilities. 

✦ Build a learning loop
design a 14‑day sprint around one skill with a clear output.

If you’ve genuinely reshaped the work and it still feels flat, the signal is real. 
A bigger change makes sense.

Just don’t make quitting your first move.
Make it your last experiment.

As an Israeli mom and solo founder living through 
these days of war,

I keep coming back to a few simple things.

Physical safety is mostly covered.
Iron Dome, and a shelter when we need it.

The hardest part is the inner work:

⇢ Staying present and grounded with my kids.
⇢ Letting fear show up, without letting it take over.
⇢ Trying to build a small island of “okay for now”
inside a reality that is anything but okay.

It’s the same mental muscles I work on with clients 
in calmer times: attention, regulation, 
and choosing how to show up 
when the context is out of your control. 

To every friend, client and family member abroad
who checks in, thank you ❤️ 

From far away I know it can look terrifying.
Up close, we're safe and it's mostly about taking it one moment at a time.

We talked about career growth and why taking ownership of your development isn't optional anymore. It is what keeps you growing and relevant.

LinkedIn’s 2026 Talent Report talks about “Talent Velocity” as the ability to see your skills clearly, spot the gaps, build or learn what is missing, and move when new opportunities show up.

The report also says that 86% of companies are still struggling to build this capability and match the right talent with the right opportunities.

If you’re thinking about your next step, I think you’ll relate to this one.

I was invited to speak on International Women's Day.
I tried to practice between sirens. 
It didn't work.
Then they told me the event was pushed to May.

So what did I do this past week?

I paid 6-year-old Berry to find matching sock pairs that had been lost in a basket for months. ₪2 per pair. (she made decent money)

I had her friends from the building over for a spa night. 
Gold face masks. Cucumbers on their eyes. 
Thai spa sounds on YouTube in the background.

My son Noah asked to play tennis.
We played for two hours. Laughed a lot.

(that's my Women's Day vibe. no conference. no panel. no "so empowering")

I'm learning in this war to let go.

Not to push forward when there's nothing left. 
Not to resolve things with the kids in the heat of the moment. 
To talk about it later, when there's actual space to take in.

That's more important than any AI I've learned this year.
(yes, including Claude Code)

And yet, somehow, two new clients joined.
3 posts went out. As usual.

Writing is part of me now. a year of showing up does that.
I didn't win. I just kept the system alive.

P.S. the best thing about going independent: no one tells you what to do. the worst thing: no one tells you what to do.

When I work out, there's no title.
No expectations.
Just me.

I love that feeling.

When I left product management to start my own business, 
I didn't expect the hardest part.

Not knowing who I was without the title.

"PM" had answered that question for almost a decade.
I didn't realize it until it was gone.

That's when I started asking:

What would make you feel like yourself at work again?

Now I hear it from senior tech leaders every week:

"I can't leave, I've worked so hard to get here"
(if I leave, what was it all for?)

"I don't know what I actually want"
(I build for metrics, not for myself)

"I feel empty even though things are going well"
(the job is fine. I'm not)

The fix isn't another title.
It's knowing who you are without one.

P.S. The answer is usually in the question you keep not asking.

I used to catastrophize in silence.
That's the actual problem.

When you suppress a worst case scenario, your brain can't tell the difference between imagining it and living it.

So it just keeps the alarm on.

The counterintuitive move: say it out loud. 

Dramatically. Like a movie trailer.

"The demo breaks live. In front of everyone"

Say it again. Louder.
Until it bores you.

That's it. Exposure therapy, essentially. 
Your brain stops treating the familiar as dangerous.

(Simon Sinek calls this "making the monster mundane" 
Backed by real neuroscience, not just a mindset tip)

One more thing worth keeping:

Courage isn't internal fortitude. It's not "dig deep and find it"

It's having one person who says: if this goes sideways, I'm still here.

That's the architecture.

So: voice the scenario. Then call your person.

P.S. Confidence isn't the absence of uncertainty. It's uncertainty you've already met

Most people hear "generalist" and think "average at everything".

Master of none.

But in the age of AI, that picture is outdated.

AI can already produce a decent first version of almost anything.

The humans who thrive are the ones who can build across disciplines.

They see the full picture:

☑ execution roadmap
☑ research insights
☑ design decisions
☑ product strategy

Then they use AI as an amplifier.

Think about your value at work right now.

If it's "I do my piece and hand it off"?
This workflow is the easiest one to replace.

AI does handoffs better than humans.
Faster. Cheaper. No questions asked.

But if your value is:

"I can take a problem from vauge idea to shipped reality and bring the right people and tools with me."

You just made yourself very hard to ignore.

This is the new kind of specialist:

✦ connect dots others miss
✦ translate between teams
✦ know when to use AI and when to override it
✦ own outcomes, not tasks

Your career is waiting for you to stop thinking like a task executor, own problems end to end, and start thinking like a builder.
