A few weeks ago, I signed my offer at Cresta.

That same day, a client of mine got her offer.

And honestly, I felt just as much joy from both.

There’s a word for that feeling: eudaimonia.

The kind of fulfillment that comes from doing work that’s aligned, meaningful, and bigger than just you.

For me, that’s the magic of this work.

Helping people step into their next chapter while I step into mine.

That’s eudaimonia.

Success that’s shared just hits different. 💓 💫 🙌 🫶

A few weeks ago, my phone was ringing in a packed wine bar the night before Evolve.
.
Dan Vasquenza (who didn’t know me and had zero context on who was calling) noticed it, somehow figured out it was mine in a sea of people, and walked it over.

“You might want this.”

On the other end? A candidate I was closing for Cresta.
 
I stepped outside. Took the call. Closed the offer.

Dan is the Founder of KultureCity—an activist and partnership leader building inclusive, accessible communities for individuals with sensory needs and invisible disabilities. He’s spent years turning belonging into action.

And before he ever got on stage at Evolve, he modeled exactly that.

Awareness.
Inclusion.
Action.

That small moment set the tone for the entire event.

Evolve, created by Anna Morgan, was one of the most human professional gatherings I’ve ever attended. 

The first two women pictured, Anna and Jo Weech, are women I consider mentors. Strong. Capable. 

Unapologetic in their own way. I met both through LinkedIn networking—proof that real community can start online.

Evolve wasn’t about optics.

It was about connection.
It was about evolving together.
It was about leaders who actually practice what they preach.

I read fast.
I skim.
I process a lot of information, quickly.

That’s been a strength throughout my career…

And something I’ve had to learn the hard way that, if I’m not careful, it can bite me in the you-know-what. 😭 

Moving fast has opened doors for me. 🚪
Moving too fast, without a pause for the details, has closed a few too.

And this shows up a lot in the job search.

Yes — you need speed. ⚡

Opportunities move quickly.
Calendars fill.
Timelines shift.

But don’t lose out by missing the simple, simple things.

• Downloading the interview invite to your calendar 📅
• Double-checking the time zone 🌍
• Reading the entire email (not just skimming it) 👓
• Having the Zoom link ready before start time 💻

Tiny details.
Big signals. ✨

The goal isn’t to slow down. It’s to pair speed with intention.

Because in your career (and in the job search), the smallest misses can have outsized consequences.

Hard-earned lesson.
Still learning. 💜

Today I woke up tired. And that’s okay.

There’s this myth that you have to be at 100% to be your best. 

Truth? Some days I’m at 50%. Some days I’m at 150% (and let’s be honest… sometimes I probably need to dial that back).

Today might be a bit of a struggle. Since giving up caffeine, I can’t rely on a cup to carry me.

I have to go back to the old-fashioned basics: food and water. Wild concept, right?

It’s crazy how often I forget those simple things when I’m running at 150%. 

So ...

Maybe today is just my body reminding me.

Take care of you T. 

P.S. - Sometimes when I talk to myself & call myself the nickname those closest to me say with so much love, I tend to listen to myself more. 💜 

Shockingly, it works a million times better than yelling at myself. 🤣

Today my grandfather — my Nonno — would have turned 100. ❤️

I was his first grandchild.

He passed away when I was just two, so my time with him was brief. But his impact on my life has never felt small.

He was a doctor and a firm believer in discipline. After college, he told my dad and uncle they had two options: law school or medical school. (No pressure.)

He adored me. There’s a story my family loves to tell:

One day he made his famous marinara sauce and took a series of photos of me gleefully throwing spaghetti everywhere.

He thought it was hilarious. I’m sure my mom felt differently as sauce hit the walls. The photo lives at my parents’ house — pure chaos in the best way.

Sometimes I wonder what life would have been like if we’d had more time with him. I wonder how he would have understood my struggles with mental health as a teenager.

But even in my darkest seasons, I felt him. I talked to him. I asked for guidance when everything felt impossible.

I truly believe he’s been my guardian angel, watching over me, protecting me, and sometimes even protecting me from myself.

We’ve all loved and lost someone. My hope is that when we miss them most, we can also feel the ways they’re still with us.

Happy 100th, Nonno. ❤️

I love you. I miss you. I hope you see how far I’ve come. 

And I believe you’re celebrating every victory right alongside me.
