Anyone can experience imposter syndrome and I'm not immune to that either!  

A recent example of that for me was my appointment as Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Derby - something I am very excited about. Growing up with Dyslexia, school and academia never felt like a natural path for me, but after some reflection when offered this position, I recognised the unique value I could bring to this role - my lived experiences and the lessons I have learnt along the way. Sure, my journey was different to many others, but that does not diminish what I can contribute and the value I can add to those who want to learn.

So, remember, the next time you doubt yourself, turn that mindset around and dive in headfirst !

So you’ve made a mistake, now comes the part which determines what kind of business person you are.

There is a fine line between dwelling on your mistakes and reflecting on them. I have never met anyone in business, or in life in fact, who hasn’t slipped up at some point along the way.

That is an experience you can use, and hindsight can be such a useful tool. So next time things don’t go to plan, retrace your steps and figure out what you could have done differently.

Then the next time, you’ll be stronger and know which way to turn.
