Here's your 2026 UEFA A Licence Prep Guide:

1. Are you coaching 11v11?

You need to be coaching 11v11 regularly and doing this for a while.

2. Your CV

Highlight roles coaching 11v11, player assessments, and philosophy design.

Bonus: Add club externships and the coaches you observed.

3. Letter of recommendation

Follow a 5-paragraph structure.

Paragraph 1 → When you joined and impact you had
Paragraph 2 → Progression in your role (if possible)
Paragraph 3 → Commitment to developing players
Paragraph 4 → Why you are a quality candidate
Paragraph 5 → How the club will support you

4. What are your 3 strengths?

Name Strength → Evidence → Impact

5. What are your 3 development areas?

Name development area → Challenge → Action taken

6. What do you hope to learn?

Follow a 4-paragraph structure.

Paragraph 1 → Introduction (40-50 words)
Paragraph 2 → Learning aims (80-100 words)
Paragraph 3 → Steps you will take (80-100 words)
Paragraph 4 → Concluding statement (40-50 words)

7. Supporting Documents.

(Stand out here)

• 10-year coaching plan
• Additional 2 coaching references
• Session plans showing 11v11 delivery
• Personal reflections from your club visits
• CPD proof (include those related to 11v11)
• Example of monthly coaching reports/reflections
• UEFA B Action Plan and how you have exceeded it
• Links to YouTube videos of your coaching/match day
• References from UEFA B coaches you have mentored

"Temisan, why are you sharing this now?"

Because you can't wait 8 months.
