+ Ensure percentage allocations are managed appropriately through new hiring and redeployment

+  Execute international hiring drives and facilitated seamless visa and relocation processes for global talent.

+ Collaborate with offshore recruitment teams to delivery capability needs (India + Manila)

Some people are moving so fast…some are barely using it. And now if you’re assessing talent without some dedicated AI questions/considerations, well I hope the below plants a seed.

When assessing talent, both on current performance and in hiring, AI usage should now be looked at as you are no longer able to benchmark people the same way as before. 

Green flags
- Using AI to redesign workflows, not just support tasks
- Clear time compression from hours to minutes
- Shifting from doing to reviewing, thinking, and decision-making
- Applying it across multiple parts of the role
- Actively refining and improving

Red flags
- Surface level use only, like emails and summaries
- No real change in speed, quality, or output
- Blind trust in responses
- No awareness of limitations or risk
- No evolution in how they use it

To understand this properly we need better questions.

1. How has AI changed the way you structure your work, not just the speed at which you complete it? This gets past basic usage. 

2. What type of work are you now spending less time on because of AI and what are you spending more time on instead?  This reveals whether AI is freeing up capacity for better thinking, judgement, and higher value work.

3. Tell me about a time AI gave you something wrong or off track. How did you know and what did you do next?

If some people are operating at a much greater output because of AI, your current workforce planning assumptions need some additional thinking as well as talent assessment processes. 

Use the above example questions as opportunities for learning to begin with, then good practices should be shared across the business and risks should inform process and governance.

If there are performance concerns, start looking at how someone is or isn’t using AI as part of how they work not just what they deliver…. Because many people will need training. 

I hope this helps some leaders navigate the crazy fast changes happening around us.
