I am Sushmita Biswas. I am a Graphic Designer. I've been working for 7 years in various industries such as OTT platform, real estate, electronics, fashion, e-commerce, healthcare, IT, education, digital agency, media production, non profit start ups etc.

I've been working since 2017 in Freelance/ Part time/ Contract or Full time format.

I am proficient in Adobe Softwares, mainly Illustrator & Photoshop. I also work in Ms PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Indesign, and know how to use Chat Gpt, Gemini, and other AI tools whenever required depending on the projects.

I‘ve also done Branding, Content Creation, Social media Content strategies for clients, and provided workshops to different companies and individuals as well.

I believe in connecting people and creating awareness through designs, wherever applicable.

It is important to me how the design expresses the value and meaning of the brand when it comes to Branding and other projects.

It’s not the AI which is getting Dangerous. It’s the people using it to get wrongful things done.

So, most of my designs even the template based, which you guys see on my profile are actually created from scratch by me using my PEROSNAL PHOTOS which I take.

Just now, I recently came across a Post which had my PERSONAL PHOTOS, DESIGNS copied end to end, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. They just used AI and altered a minute portion of the design and gave an effect.

The audacity of the person to even write in caption that “it was his own designs which he created”.

See, there are plenty of other posts or designs we often create using online templates and other elements, when the clients need that. We all do and it’s fine. We use stock photos from online or AI designs by giving prompts.

But you can not use anyone’s exact DESIGNS created by them from scratch and use their personal photos without their consent.

Just imagine, if I did not come across this. And I know so many designers face these copyright infringment, or directly stealing of their art and taking their credit.

It’s great if you like my designs and I am grateful for the support my audience, my clients are putting in me. I love that often people take inspiration and they text me and they let me know about that and I am really happy about this whole thing.

But in the name of inspiration you can’t steal. You just can’t steal anyone’s art.

If you want to use AI, take inspiration and then use AI using prompt. Not for copying.

Even I do take reference from pinterest or other pages to see how they are creating better designs.

Take inspiration to create better than others. To learn and to be better and not STEAL!

I had to literally comment on the post to take down the design. You can check my profile and you will see these exact design that I created from scratch and posted a few days ago.

I hope other designers who face these things, step up, stand for their art and creativity and don’t let people use their work and take their credit.

*Crayons and our Childhood* 😊

Remember that time when you had nothing to worry about and you would just randomly pick up that colour and draw something?

But now with so much of work, pressure, deadlines and responsibilities, we hardly remember how it felt like, that worry-less life.

We are always on our phone. We have no time to think about our emotions.

I hope we pick up that crayon once in a while to feel alive again, and may be leave behind the worry for a while.

*The only person we thought was SAFE in Stranger Things series on Netflix* 🥹

I have been following and watching the series since its first release 8-9 years back.

Absolutely in love with Stranger Things. How the story evolved over the years in each season and the characters grew and made an impact individually, even the side roles is extraordinary.

The best thing is it was never predictable. They always made us think about things at the end of it.

A part of me grew with them, their acting, their lives and this series. The writers did a great job in making sure the characters had so much to offer to the audience.

It’s a beautiful end to an era. I don’t know if you guys have watched it. This is a Sci-Fi series on Netflix . If you haven’t watched it yet, you should definitely binge right now.
