Bij Amber ben ik verantwoordelijk voor groei, zorgen dat wij als bedrijf nog beter en sneller de volgende stap kunnen zetten. Ik zorg ervoor dat we nieuwe markten verkennen, nieuwe klanten worden geïnspireerd met ons verhaal en dat iedereen ons binnen een jaar kent.

Leading an 80-person team, Steven demonstrated his exceptional business acumen by securing 80 of the 100 largest Dutch employers as clients. His entrepreneurial journey further blossomed with the founding of Luna.ai, a groundbreaking AI-powered sales platform. This venture was born out of a need identified during his tenure at a Digital Sales agency, where he and his co-founders supported over 100 startups in finding their market fit and developing robust growth strategies. At the heart of Luna.ai's inception was a persistent challenge faced by many: striking the right balance between personalised and automated outreach in sales, a gap that existing tools in the market failed to bridge. Steven's story is not just about remarkable business achievements; it's a testament to his innovative spirit and relentless pursuit of solutions that redefine the landscape of technology and sales.

Luna.ai was born from the insight that Generative AI could bridge this gap, allowing for both personalisation and automation without compromise. The platform is designed to act as an AI salesperson, handling every stage of the sales funnel, making the sales process scalable and autonomous for companies, especially in the tech and SaaS sectors.

Steven's vision for Luna.ai sets it apart from competitors. While the market is crowded with AI email generation tools, Luna.ai's proprietary technology is trained based on input from thousands of sales professionals to handle all top-of-funnel tasks, offering a more holistic solution. Under Steven's leadership, Luna.ai not only supports Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) but can autonomously generate and reach out to verified leads, craft effective cold emails, and manage the initial stages of customer engagement.

Exciting update: Utopian Labs has been acquired by Zapier!

The last four years have been incredible. And very tough. 

From YC applications and moving to San Francisco, to serving customers across every time zone. We’ve seen crazy growth, learned from crazy churn, and met really cool people.

But the best part for me was that we stuck to ourselves and to our vision. AI should deliver value, not hype. That’s always how we built and scaled our products.

This is also why joining Zapier feels right. 

Robin and I will be joining the Zapier team to help them push their AI roadmap and realize their vision to become the AI Orchestration platform. 

I want to say huge thanks to our customers for their support and feedback, our investors for their trust, and to Robin and Jean-Paul for fighting with me through the ups and downs.
