Have you ever read articles on Linkedin that inspire you to do something more, new or better?  I'm sure many have.  How many of us though feel inspired but when it comes time to act upon that inspiration you don't know how to start, or you realize your attempt looks feeble when you finish?  I've been there, and that's what led me to really think why? 
 "Why" is the key.  I believe it's because the articles don't get into the details. That's where I want to help. 

-Are you looking for a job?  I want to help you perfect the details that will set you apart. 
-Do you want to get noticed at work?  I can help guide you how to do just that.
-Does your company need another point of view, or just some training you don't have time to do yourself? I can hep you with that.  
-Are you utilizing your resources (human, ERP, systems, etc.) to their potential?  I can help you and your employees be the best they can be.  

Notice that I used the words "help you".  You still need to be you because you are unique.  I want to help you finish that inspiration.  Chip Gaines calls it "being a runway".  It's a path so that you fly on our own.

Day 325 - Bad AI posts

Well..

While using chatgpt to create "bad" Linkedin posts,
my impressions were up 180%,
I gained 10 followers,
and booked clients

I'm hoping it was just the subject matter that got noticed, 
and then people looked at my profile and wanted to connect

Can it be because what chatgpt considers bad writing... 
is actually better than my regular posts?  😶 

Talk about a dose of humility

Meanwhile, I did get 3 email scammers to tell the truth
Hopefully it's the first step for them to get honest jobs

Day 323 - 🔥 HOT TAKE 🔥

Everyone is talking about the 4-day work week, and honestly… if you’re against it, that says a lot about you.

I saw a study (can’t find the link right now) that proves people are 300% more productive when they only work four days. 
So why are some leaders still clinging to the outdated 5-day model? 🤔

Personally, I’ve seen people “unofficially” doing a 4-day week for years (thanks to efficient multitasking and a few calendar blocks labeled deep work). The results speak for themselves.

If your company can’t make this work, maybe it’s not a culture problem… maybe it’s a you problem.

The app Signal is the new method of communication for scammers

People know I'm looking for clients...
I have an "open to work" banner on my profile picture

So, I'm opening myself up to job related scams

Got one this morning from what looked like a decent profile
They DM'd, me, used proper English,
and then they started with the usual

We have a startup...blah blah blah
Would like to have a chat....blah blah blah

When I requested a chat on Zoom, that's what stopped them

"For privacy purposes we communicate on Signal".
They can't take 15 minutes to meet an "important" candidate online?
Come on.
Ross...I'm not going red Ross on you.

Day 334 - I'll just say it

I read two posts this morning that I can't ignore
and I have to say something

The first was about a "person" (the reason for quotes will be evident)
who told a competent, accomplished marketer that she didn't look the part 
(even though she was wearing a blazer)
and laughed, not believing she had helped top companies

That is horrible behavior.

Someone in the comments then said the guy was acting outdated and old school.
What does being a jerk have to do with being old school?

Second post...
was about how gain respect in a room full of white leaders

That is a sad commentary on us today.
What is different about white leaders from any other skin color?

If the white leaders need you to act different, that's on them,
and they are the ones who need to be educated, not you

I wasn’t going to share this… but transparency matters.

Over the past 7 days, I used ChatGPT to write my LinkedIn posts.
The results?
 📈 +180% impressions
 👤 +1% followers

Let that sink in.

People say “AI can’t replace authenticity.”
 Yet here I am, being more authentic than ever thanks to a robot.

The key isn’t the tool.
 It’s how you use the tool.
 And how consistently you show up.
 And how you ignore the haters.

If you’re still typing your own posts in 2026, I don’t know what to tell you.

Day 330 - Right the first time

"This system zjkc;lj;ls!"
How many times have you heard or thought that?

Sometimes the system isn't what it should be
and you should look into changing

Other times the problem was the setup.
It was configured without the forethought of what was to happen

A new connection reminded me of that yesterday,
of how so many of our business issues happen because we didn't set things up in the best way.
 
The next time your business is setting up something new:
software
procedures
even choosing someone to hire...
consider bringing in outside help to avoid problems down the road

Day 331 - Denial is not a beautiful river

We all can agree that denial can lead to problems down the road
Here's a story of an interesting email I received 
and I can't figure out if it's denial or not

"I’m Ofeliia from an Online Reputation Management company. We help businesses build a strong online image by increasing positive reviews across major platforms like Google, Facebook, Yelp, and others."

I asked for what company they worked and how they increased positive reviews
I got back this:
Here’s what you can expect from us:
*100% real and permanent reviews
*Safe process – no login or access needed
*Smart, manual posting with natural timing
*Reviews tailored to your location and industry
*Free replacement if any review gets removed

I ask myself:
How are these real reviews if they don't know me?
How is it safe if the platforms figure out they are fake?  Won't they ban me?
Why would they keep putting fake reviews somewhere where they are getting removed?

Here's the intriguing part:
They never did say the name of their company,
but the author is part of the "Reputation Management Team"

Are they good at what they do because they won't reveal the name of their company performing illegal/immoral activities?
Or, are they in denial?

Day 332- Sometimes it is that easy

Continuing in my series of doing things better at the beginning so that you don't have problems down the road...

Hiring good people eliminates a lot of those types of issues.
No one is perfect, but you sure do not have to worry as much if you hire good people instead of having to train common practices

Friday I went to a local post office to get a change of address completed.
I told the clerk that my mom had passed away and showed her a certified copy of the death certificate.
Her response was terse, telling me they needed an original

Compare that to the next day when I went to an office by my house
I explained the same situation and the clerk was friendly and helpful,
taking the time to care.  

That first office has a lot of training to do, even though it seems like common sense to be kind to someone who recently lost their mother.

Day 333 - Let's not go overboard

"If you're not using AI, you're already behind"...
seems to be the thought leader's mantra nowadays

I believe they are partially right
but partially wrong

Regulars know of my love for eyeglasses
I was checking out a site the other day and was excited to see
an AI based help tool that could find glasses that fit your face

I gave it a prompt (I wanted a classic style frame) and let the site take a selfie of me and waited for the results...

They were completely wrong
Wrong size
Modern styles
Strange colors

What a letdown

I then used the prompts to describe more details
and it still showed me frames that didn't even match numerical prompts

Not to say AI can't help you,
but don't rush into using something that doesn't work and will alienate customers

Day 335 - Would you admit it?

A few months ago I saw an ad for $1 glasses and one of the frames looked good.
It was a style I wanted to try so I bought it.
  
I recently looked at the model number on the arm and noticed it used the same numbering system as Oliver Peoples, a brand that charges $300+ for frames alone.
Google showed me the model number was the exact same, and the style was near identical.
I emailed the $1 frame company and asked if this was intentional.

They responded: "Most of the designs in eyeglasses very common. Neither we are selling knock-off nor we compare our product with anyone."

Then why use the exact same model number?  

Would you admit that you made a knock-off, especially if you are not trying to pass it off as an original?
