Jam Squad Advisor (Hip Hop Dance Team)

Choreograph all of the group dance numbers for Capuchino High School's spring musical. This was the first musical produced at Cap in a few years. Directed dancers, ran rehearsals, communicated with other directors and parent boosters... Grease was performed on April 10-12, 2015.

Rebels Elite Cheer & Dance

I used to direct the competitive hip hop program at Rebels while cheering on the adult team. I left for a few years (and was their #1 fan) and now I am back coaching the Senior Level 1 cheer team. Go Rebels!

Sequoia High School

Instruct 9th – 12th grade students, 40+ students in each class, in various dance units and sporting activities. Administers the annual Physical Fitness Test and designs curriculum to meet both the Physical Education and Dance standards in the P.E. Dance classes. Took on an Administrative position as the Athletic Director in addition to teaching and coaching for two years.

Key Contributions:
Coaching the Competitive and School Oriented Cheer Team with much success for four years. In March 2013 the team won 1st place at USA Spirit Nationals.
Focused on increasing school spirit, community involvement, professionalism, inclusion for students with disabilities, competitive skill and goal setting.
Directed the Athletics program through coach and alumni association communications, parent Booster Club involvement, and collaboration with Admin Team.
Taught students with varying levels of experience in the beginning dance program and in P.E. 1 and P.E. 2 courses. Jazz, musical theatre, cultural and historical dances, modern, hip hop and more.
Served on school task force focused on increasing college awareness. Directed and presented a College Week assembly.
Started the first SHS Hip Hop Dance Crew to perform at rallies, games and community events.
Team-taught Physical Education with colleagues for uniformity across the department. Developed a website for students.
Lead power point presentations to all P.E. classes (150 – 250 students each period) on various health topics bi-monthly.

Direct, coach and choreograph for competitive hip hop dance teams ages 4 through adult. I founded the dance program and ran all aspects of team development for 5 years. Multiple championship titles were earned and lots of skill development took place here for my students AND myself.

Hi! I'm Stacy. 👋🏼 I’ve been a passionate high school educator since 2007 and currently serve as the P.E. Department Chair, Instructional Coach, Instructional Technology Facilitator, Student Equity Council Coordinator, and District PE Content Lead. These roles are all in addition to teaching full-time. For the 24-25 school year I am teaching an ELD class for long-term English learners and 9th grade physical education, coaching other teachers and wearing 50-bajillion other hats on campus and within the district. Don't they say if you want something done right, ask a busy person? (That is me. I pour myself into meaningful work.)

I thrive on tackling big challenges, exploring innovative solutions, and collaborating to drive meaningful change. My work focuses on antiracism, strategic planning, fostering creativity, leadership, and leveraging technology to enhance education.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve coached cheer and dance, taught AVID and musical theater, and served as an athletic director. I host the Capuchino Mic Drop podcast and hold a Master’s in Education: Curriculum & Instruction. A proud #MERIT21 alum, I recently earned my CA EdTech Specialist certificate and am currently in the STEAM Leadership certificate program at KCI, writing their AI blog series, and teaching AI-focused workshops. I’m also a current member of CUE’s AI Leadership Academy. The first cohort! Such exciting work in the world of AI.
