When my husband first offered to help with what we’re building at Empressa AI, my first instinct was to say no.

“I don’t need help,” I thought.
But that wasn’t true.

He’s been by my side through it all:

the late-night brainstorms,
the endless operational tasks,
even making sure I eat lunch ;)

Every week, we ask women in our community one question:
What’s your favorite use of AI?

The answers tell a story:

“I use AI to summarize meetings, draft reports, and translate ideas across languages.”

“I use it to brainstorm and reflect - it’s my digital thought partner for clarity.”

“It’s my creative lab — ChatGPT for ideas, Canva for design, and HeyGen to make movies.”

(Plus get recipe ideas when I can’t decide what to eat for dinner!)

A recent OpenAI study found that nearly 70% of everyday AI tasks are personal - things like organizing, planning, learning, and writing.

Which is exactly how building confidence starts.

How many times have you spent $200 on something for your kids, your team, or your business…

In 1977, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration made what seemed like a practical decision.

It barred most women of childbearing age from participating in clinical drug trials.

The intention was to protect women from potential harm.

The result was that, for nearly two decades (until new policies were issued in 1993), medical research simply left women out.

Heart disease, drug metabolism, pain management — all studied primarily in men.

The assumption? That male bodies could stand in for everyone.

We now know how wrong (and ignorant) that was.

Heart disease became misdiagnosed in women for years because their symptoms didn’t match the “male model” taught in medical school.

And entire generations of women paid the price.

Caroline Criado Perez captured it perfectly in Invisible Women:

“When we exclude half the population from our data, we don’t get truth. We get bias, coded as fact.”

Fast forward to today...and history is repeating itself.

Only this time, it’s not medical research.
It’s artificial intelligence.

Bias in AI is already influencing who gets hired, who gets promoted, and whose stories are seen or heard.

If women aren’t represented in the data, the algorithms built from it will inherit the same blind spots.

That’s why we built Empressa AI. 
To make sure women aren’t left behind, left out, or left voiceless.
