A little about me - I consider myself a Marketing architect and business leader. It’s a great metaphor for describing my skills and the type of work I enjoy. 

I think of myself as someone standing over the blueprints of a GTM plan, ensuring all the key components—like messaging, content, digital strategy, sales conversion, and customer engagement—are aligned.

- We have a team of analysts you can leverage for category knowledge and expertise 

- You must be comfortable using AI for prospecting, understand how to use modern tools (Clay), and collaborate with RevOps and Marketing

- Marketing produces industry content and integrated campaigns to help you

If someone is doing something you think is your job or responsibility…ask your self why? 

*Yes, I have this written in a note on my phone for me to reference.*

Is there a communication issue?
Was there clean communication on who is doing what?
Did you miss a deadline so then someone else jumped in and did it? 
Did you say you would do it in the past?
Did you ask them for help with this in the past?
Do they feel accountable to the outcome as well? 

Usually, it’s a communication issue about roles and responsibilities, and most people assume things. Don’t assume. But you should start asking questions and try to uncover if there is an issue or not. 

Clarify. Hold others accountable. Keep communicating (up, down, and sideways).

Clear is kind.

You can also reverse this. Are you jumping in and doing something that you feel is someone else’s responsibility? Ask yourself why? And then communicate with that person. 

P.S. Lately, I've been drawn to personal development and management-type content, so I'm sharing some things I try to remind myself.

This one is about deal sources - What we did instead of the traditional department approach and why.

With examples. 

Most of the time deal sources are using to assign credit (internal focused) and not used to actually understand how the prospect came into the funnel at a specific time (external focused). 

This is nuanced and definitions matter so I would suggest reading the whole article if this is of interest to you. 

I just love tactical example content. So I shared what we did at OpenBrand and why. 

Remember the data isn’t about you, it’s about tracking specific behaviors (the best you can) and leveraging that data to drive action, not debates.
