I’m Shihab Makaniyil, and for years I have been supporting family, friends, and local communities in maintaining their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, often through a simple phone call or WhatsApp message. Recognising the need to extend this support on a larger scale, I founded ShopDoc, a digital-first healthcare platform with a clear mission: to help people live healthier and happier lives. My vision is to grow ShopDoc into one of the world’s largest digital healthcare ecosystems, serving millions of patients globally with compassion, convenience, and care.

My journey in healthcare entrepreneurship began in Sydney, Australia, where I founded MobeedCare in 2018, an innovative mobile healthcare service providing eye, ear, and dental care directly to communities. In 2019, I returned to my village in Kerala, India, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, MobeedCare evolved into ShopDoc. Since then, we have scaled rapidly, expanding into telehealth, personalized wellness programs, and medical procedure facilitation. Today, ShopDoc is Kerala’s leading digital health platform in terms of patient engagement and service offerings. Now headquartered in Dubai Internet City, we are building the Middle East’s first comprehensive, medical tourism-focused digital health ecosystem in partnership with Mastercard.

We evaluate and asses individuals and offer personalised programs to address various mental and emotional health related problems. We partner with schools, colleges, and companies with emphasis on mental health and conduct happiness enhancement initiatives. We also deliver our services in virtual reality in order to serve our younger clients more effectively and efficiently giving them more intimate and immersive experience.

The FFounders - Fit Founders event in Dubai was exactly the kind of reality check every founder needs.

The highlight for me?
Watching Shihab Makaniyil pull off the first sale, fundraising, hiring and a partnership for FFounders in 7 minutes, live on stage. No script, no prep, just pure execution. Around 150 people in the room literally saw momentum happen in real time.

But what hit me deeper was the mission. As founders, we push so hard that our own health becomes the last item on the list. This initiative is a solid reminder that physical & mental fitness isn’t optional. It is part of being able to lead with clarity & stay in the game long term.
