Hey there, friend! Thanks for taking the time to read my bio.

I'm a WYSIWYG type person: What you see is what you get. I'm not one way at work and another outside of it. You're getting 100% the authentic me here, rest assured. 

I'm motivated by helping and teaching people. A huge "powerup" in my career has been focusing intently on voice of the customer, community and connection, and cross-functional collaboration. I also love to #MakeWorkFun << can this be a thing?

Outside of work, I serve at a small Christian college as a mentor, health coach, faculty, and director of work-based learning. I love to read, hike, run, volunteer, garden, and spend time with friends. I'm also a budding herbalist!

Big news and an exciting chapter ahead!

LinkedIn fam, it’s time to read you in on some big changes: today is my last full-time day with Intellum. (Don’t worry! I’m still contracting so you can expect to see me each month for webinars & content!)

But if we’ve connected in the last few years, you know that my heart and mindshare have been divided between love for the customer education industry and love for my students.

For the last 4+ years, I’ve served a (very small) Christian college here in Black Mountain as a mentor, advisor, teacher, and supervisor of work-based learning.

Next week, I step into a much more expanded role there as VP of Operations. 

I am excited for the opportunity to be more involved with students and the day-to-day operations, as well as to make more of an impact in my local community. And I’m grateful to Intellum for so much, but especially for allowing me to continue creating for the customer education and L&D world as a freelancer.

I like to dream, plan, and create. I tend to thrive in roles where I’m doing something that’s never been done before—launching new products, building new branches of an org, or creating new service offerings. If you have a vision, I’m a great partner in bringing it to life. 

My colleagues would tell you I’m driven, motivated, and unsatisfied with complacency. I excel at holding others accountable, driving results, and generating ideas. And I think the important bit here is achieving while still remaining caring, supportive, encouraging, and inclusive (their words, not just mine). 

I believe:

✨ Everything’s worth testing—because best practices don't apply across the board.
✨ Leaders exist at every level of an organization. You just need to nurture them and give them agency to perform.

✨ If you can’t serve, you can’t lead.
✨ The theoretical can’t exist without the practical. To be effective, people need to understand what something looks like in practice.

Today is Day 1 of a new role: VP of Operations at Excel College!

I am looking forward to the opportunity to invest in our leadership team, operational excellence, and our students' growth.

What an amazing team. One of the things I have most enjoyed about Intellum is the people and the investment in people. We are a genuinely good bunch!

The last few days eating, laughing, learning, walking, and working together have been a blast!
