I’m Shahid Miah, founder and CEO of Wavespace, a global enterprise design agency creating bold ideas into world-class digital products.

In 2014, after high school, I stumbled into UI/UX design out of curiosity, not passion. Over the past 7+ years, I studied at the Institute of Graphic Arts (Graphic Design), then earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science and became a Certified UX Designer from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF).

Mediqo mobile app case study | Visual Identity

The real challenge in designing Mediqo wasn’t UI,

It was understanding the emotions people bring into a healthcare app.
Stress.
Uncertainty.
Fear of missing something important.
Pressure to choose the right option fast.

So we asked one core question:
“What does the user emotionally need right now?”
Not trends.
Not aesthetics.
But clarity, calm, and confidence.

We found four major friction points
and built each with psychology-driven UX.

1. Medicine Order Flow

Users aren’t browsing, they’re anxious.
So we surfaced details upfront,
made dosage and reviews easy to scan,
kept actions in the thumb zone,
and stripped checkout to essentials.

Familiar e-commerce patterns = lower stress, faster choices.

2. Record File System

Scattered files create panic.
We organized everything into clean categories,
added visual thumbnails,
file metadata,
and a distraction-free search.

Predictable structure gives users instant control.

3. Booking & Consultation

Booking a doctor brings doubt.
We organized everything around time,
added clear appointment states,
one-tap video calls,
and a minimal consultation UI.

Less decision pressure, more guidance.

4. Physical Doctor Booking

In-person visits carry emotional weight.
So we made doctor profiles transparent,
fees and types are clear,
location selection is simple,
and time slots are intuitive.

A steady CTA keeps the flow confident.

Brand Identity
Warm. Human. Calm.
A mark blending the “M,” a medical cross,
and a subtle heart, supported by soft curves and gentle colors.

Healthcare is chaotic.
The interface shouldn’t be.

Less stress.
More clarity.
More confidence.
That’s the experience Mediqo was designed to deliver.

UX Principles of Mediqo Health App

There’s no such thing as simple healthcare UX.

Only designers who oversimplify the problem.

Users aren’t dealing with pretty screens.
They’re dealing with stress, fear, and uncertainty.

That’s why every decision in the Mediqo app mattered.

Search isn’t a feature.
- It’s a lifeline.

Layouts aren’t sections.
- They’re clarity in a moment of panic.

Navigation isn’t just icons.
- It’s guidance when the mind is overwhelmed.

We didn’t design this screen to look good.
We designed it to feel human.

✔️Focused search.
✔️Clean layout.
✔️Predictable interactions.
✔️Collaboration awareness.
✔️Instant status signals.
✔️Thumb-friendly flow.

None of these is fluff.
Their intention.

Because when users are already anxious,
Bad UX is not an inconvenience,
- It’s a burden.

Simple UX isn’t an aesthetic.
- It’s respect.

And that’s the standard this project followed.
Pixel by pixel.
Flow by flow.

Because Web3 onboarding isn’t just “designing a dark UI”…
It’s dealing with real human fear.

People aren’t thinking about gradients or icons.
They’re thinking:
“Will I lose access?”
“Did I write that phrase correctly?”
“Am I doing this right?”

So when I worked on this flow, I paid attention to how people react, not just how the UI looks.

This part needs to feel effortless. No friction, no hesitation.

Here, the tone matters. 
If you sound too technical, users panic.
If you oversimplify, they don’t trust you.

It’s a balance.

Recovery Phrase
This is the moment users freak out the most.
So grouping the words, giving them space, 
And keeping the layout calm helps them breathe a bit.

And that’s what I think more designers should study.
Not the fancy screenshots,
but how every step connects to the next
and how the user feels at each moment.

Anyone can make a wallet look “clean.”
But making the user feel safe through 7–8 screens?

That’s real UX work.

If you want to get better, look at the tiny things:

- How reassurance is written,
- how pacing works,
- How the UI reduces fear without being dramatic.

That’s where the real growth happens.

Most marketers don’t need more tools,

They need a clearer system.
This design shows exactly what that looks like.

What I love about this layout is how intentional everything feels.
The hero makes the value obvious,
The expert grid builds instant trust,
and the resource sections show exactly how the platform 
helps B2B & eCom marketers grow.

No clutter.
No noise.
Just a clear path from 
“Who are you?” → “Why join?” → “What do I get?”

The structure does all the heavy lifting,
strong hierarchy, clean spacing, human imagery, and conversion patterns placed exactly where the user needs reassurance.

It’s the kind of design that doesn’t shout.
It guides.
And that’s why it works.

Let’s be brutally honest for a second.

Using most medical apps feels like a punishment for being sick.

Important buttons get lost
Appointments are buried
reports live in random corners
And nothing flows the way a stressed user expects.

And somehow…
You’re expected to make critical health decisions 
in the middle of this chaos.

So we designed the entire experience
to prove a very simple point:

no friction, no confusion, no surprises.

Doctor Discovery is clean and calm
not a zoo of profile cards.
Appointments follow a timeline
not a treasure hunt.
Medical files actually stay where you last saw them
shocking, I know😌

No more UI that raises your blood pressure
while you’re trying to book a cardiologist.

No random icons.
No mystery buttons.
No cognitive gymnastics.

Just a straightforward, predictable flow
that respects the user’s stress level.

Because in healthcare, design isn’t “make it pretty.”
It’s “don’t make people suffer more than they already are.”

This is clarity with a bit of attitude.
Function with a sense of humor.
And a reminder that even serious products
don’t have to feel complicated.

This design is bold, clean, and intentionally simple
because when users aren’t feeling well
The UI shouldn’t make things worse.

What you see here isn’t just a dashboard,

It’s a design system working in perfect consistency.

Typography scale → applied across every card
Spacing system → predictable, modular, reusable
Color palette → functional, not decorative
Iconography → balanced and readable at all sizes

A strong one guides them instantly.

Look at the “Before.”
Nothing was wrong, but nothing was helping either.
The headline felt too quiet, the spacing was loose,
and honestly… the CTA didn’t look like something you’d want to click.

Now check the “After.”
Small changes, big difference.

• The headline finally grabs your attention
• The spacing feels cleaner and easier to follow
• The CTA looks clear, important, and clickable
• The layout feels intentional instead of random
• And that subtle glow adds life without being distracting

Same message.
Better delivery.
It finally feels like the hero is talking to you, 
not hiding behind the layout.

And that’s the whole point.
Good design doesn’t overwhelm.
It just helps you understand faster.
