Had a fantastic night at the 2025 CUB Club of United Business Awards, and was incredibly proud to walk away with the 2025 Member of the Year Sydney award. Laura Ropers, Kirsten Scott and the entire CUB Club of United Business team pulled together an amazing evening that was a fitting celebration for their 10 year milestone. 

I’ve always enjoyed being part of CUB Club of United Business, and every time I attend an event I look around and see businesses created by people from all walks of life, all with their own unique stories. Some businesses are thriving and growing, and some are in the earlier stages where everything is terrifying and exciting all at once. 
Regardless, no matter where you are in your business journey, support is the key factor in being able to traverse the inevitable challenges that arise.

Many of us start, or are in business, to be better for ourselves, our families and most importantly for the broader community. But it can be a lonely existence. Having a community that supports you, both when you're high, and especially when you're low, is hard to put a value on.

It is such an incredible achievement for both Daniel Hakim and Anthony Mullane who founded CUB Club of United Business 10 years ago.  They have built an inclusive, enthusiastic community that genuinely makes a difference to its members. It's not easy running any business for 10 years, let alone a business where other opinionated business owners are your customer! 😄 

I'd like to say a big thank you to those in the CUB community who voted in the CUB Awards. Congratulations to all the other award winners and finalists. Further congratulations to my good friend and Sydney Club Head Calvin C. for finally pronouncing my name right🙂.

In terms of what’s next, we’re making some big changes at Turbo and viddi as the recruitment and hiring market continues to evolve…I’ll be making some announcements in the near future. 

Oh, and special mention has to go Sylvia Jeffreys and Zoe Marshall for expertly managing Table 6 👏 .

Looking forward to the opening of the new flagship Sydney Clubhouse this Friday! 🥳
