I've helped an ag professional association build their social media followings on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Since I started working with them in May 2019, their social media has seen positive growth in numbers of followers and engagements, in addition to improving the quality of their posts.
I'm currently working with an ag professional association to launch their podcast, creating 6 episodes for the initial offering.
I'm writing stories for a variety of ag industry publications, including Cattle Business Weekly, the Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Association magazine, Red Angus Magazine, AgDaily, and others.

I wrote stories and blog posts for No-Till Farmer, Strip-Till Farmer, Precision Farming Dealer and Farm Equipment magazines. I also captured video and audio interviews for online and digital use on those properties. 

I was responsible for content for Cover Crop Strategies magazine, including online stories, a weekly e-newsletter, a weekly podcast, bi-weekly blog posts, and an annual print publication. I also planned and executed 2 virtual educational events per year featuring 6-12 academic experts and growers who have experience using cover crops. I was responsible for identifying and securing speakers, speaker correspondence, recording promotional podcasts and video interviews with speakers, promotional press releases and content, and recording 1-hour educational sessions with speakers.

I recorded 50+ podcasts, interviewing experts on cover crop production and management.

I also wrote various forms of copy, including press releases, feature stories, blog posts and social media content. I successfully brought on board a new client for a $10,000 project and was able to grow the account to $50,000.

American Angus Association

I managed the agency relationship between Zoetis Beef Genetics and the Angus Association, including meeting day-to-day client needs, managing all marketing communications projects, and working with the internal Angus team to produce those marketing communications pieces, including banner ads, print ads, events, direct mailers, brochures, sell sheets, brochures, videos, and more.

I provided writing support on a wide variety of projects, including press releases, communications pieces for the Angus Foundation, stories for the Angus Journal, and more. I also manage the Angus Talk radio show, including identifying guests for the show, setting up their interviews and writing scripts for those interviews. I also assist with pre- and post-production for The Angus Report, the Angus Association's TV show on RFD-TV, by helping write scripts, identifying soundbites, and assisting with video clip inventory.

I love sharing information with agricultural producers in a way that they can take and utilize in their operations. I've had vast experience with writing in a variety of forms, including blogs, feature stories, web copy, social media content, marketing materials, email copy and more. 

I have managed social media pages and content creation for multiple clients across the agriculture industry. I am a tough editor and proofreader. 

I have also produced podcasts and educational webinars on topics such as cover crops, beef production and agricultural engineering. If it's an agriculture industry topic, I've written about it--from livestock and cover crops to orchards and carbon sequestration.

I'm a farm girl at heart--I grew up on a dairy farm in Missouri and also showed beef cattle in 4-H and FFA. I have a degree in Ag Journalism and a minor in Animal Science from the University of Missouri. I also am a graduate of Class IX of the South Dakota Ag & Rural Leadership program (SDARL).

My husband and I have a small hobby farm in rural eastern South Dakota, and are the proud parents of three beautiful little girls.
