As a Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, my journey since graduating with a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT BHU has been a transformative one. Everyone posts about free food and fancy offices.
Nobody talks about the real challenges I faced:

Week 1: Imposter syndrome hit hard
Working on Google Ads team with 10+ years experienced engineers. Felt like I knew nothing.

Week 3: Codebase overwhelm
Millions of lines of code. Documentation scattered. Seniors too busy to help.

Week 5: Feature deadline approaching
My code wasn't working. Panic mode activated.

But here's what I learned:

Reality 1: Googlers are humans too
They struggle, they debug, they have bad code days.

Reality 2: Asking questions isn't weakness
That "dumb" question saved me 3 days of debugging.

Reality 3: Internship is learning, not proving
You're not expected to ship production features on day 1.

Stop setting expectations based on instagram highlight reels.

Internship Season is Here, Make Sure Your Resume Stands Out!"
💡 A quick story: Last year, a junior at my college reached out to me. He had applied to 30+ internships but hadn’t heard back from a single one.

When I reviewed his resume, it hit me, he wasn’t doing anything wrong, but he also wasn’t doing enough right.

Here’s what I told him to fix:
1️⃣ Your Resume Isn’t a Diary
→ Most students list everything they’ve ever done. Instead, focus on relevant experiences that align with the internship role.

2️⃣ Show, Don’t Tell
→ Replace vague phrases like “worked on projects” with specifics:

“Built a chatbot using Python that reduced customer response time by 40%.”

3️⃣ Leverage Academic Work
→ No work experience? No problem. Highlight coursework or projects that demonstrate your skills (e.g., “Developed an e-commerce website as part of a web development course”).

4️⃣ Tailor for Each Role
→ One-size-fits-all resumes don’t work. Use keywords from the job description to align your resume with the role.

5️⃣ Keep it Clean
→ ATS systems hate fancy formatting. Stick to simple fonts and layouts.

After making these changes, he landed two interviews in under two weeks, and secured an internship at a top startup!

This morning's newspaper had an answer I didn't expect.

Two patches. One for my current sunscreen, one for comparison. Apply sunscreen, expose to UV, watch what happens.

My patch turned purple. The comparison stayed clear.

Purple = your protection failed. Clear = you're safe.

I sat there staring at it for a good minute.
Not because I love science experiments (though this was cool). But because a brand actually gave me proof instead of promises.

Foxtale's "Play On Till the Sun's Gone" campaign isn't just clever marketing. It's accountability.

In a world where every product claims to be "the best," here's one that said "test us yourself."

That's the kind of confidence I respect.

What I appreciate about this print ad is how it captures the exact cultural mood without overthinking it. Bold. Playful. Unapologetically Indian.

The best marketing doesn't create moments. It reflects them.

Interview 9-10 (Flipkart): Finally cracked it 🎉
Interview 11 (Google): Got the internship, but no PPO.
Interview 12 (Nurture farm): Offer revoked.
Interview 13: Rejected in final rounds at top PBCs.
Final (Oracle, Confluent): Cracked it 🙌

I cleared exams of 20+ companies during placements and 5+ during internships, but rejections kept coming at the final stage.

There were moments when I honestly thought, “Maybe this isn’t for me.”

But every rejection taught me something new. I improved my core subjects and finally got guidance from seniors. That’s how I cracked Oracle.

I’m genuinely amazed at how far brands are willing to go today in the name of attention and recall.
The lines between clever and suggestive are getting thinner in public advertising.

This billboard clearly does its job of grabbing eyeballs - No doubts there!
But it also left me with more questions than answers about where we’re headed with mainstream marketing in shared public spaces.

Maybe this is just the new normal of the attention economy.
Or maybe we’re slowly normalising a kind of “anything goes as long as it trends” mindset.

I’m curious to know: as marketers and consumers, how do you look at such campaigns in public spaces?

2 PM. Production bug. Empty stomach.

Distractions were never a problem for me. Responsibilities were bigger.

When I moved to Kota for my JEE preparation, I saw many students around me enjoying their lives - partying, hanging out, watching movies.
But I had only one thought in my mind:
A lot of money has been spent for me to be here.

Back in 2018, the coaching fee, rent, travel, and food added up to around 2.5 lakhs per year.
That was a big amount for my family.

People often ask me today:
“How did you stay so focused?”
“Didn’t you get distracted?”

Honestly, I didn’t.
Because my goal was very clear.

I had seen my mother working 10-12 hours a day - 
Managing school, multiple coaching batches, and still waking up early to cook lunch for us before school.

When you grow up watching someone work that hard for your dreams,

This morning, I did something weird with my newspaper.

I poured water on it.

Not by accident. The ad told me to.

REDMI's latest ad for the Note 15 Pro series hid the price under hydrochromic ink. Add water, price reveals.

But here's what got me thinking...
Most brands would've just listed specs. Water resistance: IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K.

Instead, they made you experience it.
Water can't hurt the phone. So go ahead, pour some water on our ad.

That's not marketing. That's confidence.

Print isn't dead. Boring print is.
