The worst financial advice you will ever receive is this. 


"Start investing as early as possible." 

It might sound amazing but it is incomplete advice that can go terribly wrong.

What I've learned as a CA is that people are investing in things they don't understand at ages when they can't afford to lose money. 

I want to help you get on the right track, so before you invest a single rupee, you need to answer three questions honestly: 

(1) Can you survive 6 months without touching this money? 
(2) Do you actually understand what you're putting money into, or are you following a YouTube video? 
(3) Is your income stable enough that market crashes won't force you to sell at a loss?

Most people skip this and jump straight into mutual funds, crypto, or stocks because "time in the market beats timing the market." 

Sure, if you're not panicking when markets crash. But I've seen people liquidate at losses because they needed emergency money they shouldn't have invested in the first place.

The worst financial advice is telling someone to invest early without checking if they're financially ready. It's like telling someone to run before they can walk.

Your foundation matters a lot more than your returns. Do not invest your capital if you can’t afford to have the risk of losing it.

Gold is at an all-time high. Silver is at an all-time high.

And now everyone is asking, “Should I buy now… or did I miss the bus?”

1. Let us look outside India. Globally, people are nervous. Big economies are slowing down and there are geopolitical tensions.

And whenever uncertainty increases, investors run towards the world's safe assets and gold and silver are the oldest “safe parking spots” money knows.

2. Central banks! Many countries are buying gold to reduce dependence on the US dollar. This steady buying is pushing the prices up. (India's central bank was the 2nd biggest consumer of gold last year)

3. Interest rates. When markets expect rate cuts, money moves out of fixed returns and into assets like gold, which don’t pay interest but protect value. 

Now the India-specific part - 
Gold is priced globally in dollars. When the rupee weakens, gold becomes automatically more expensive in India, even if global prices don’t move much. 

(which is why today the gold ETFs rose by 10%, but there was hardly any movement in the international gold market)

And when it comes to silver, it is used in solar panels, EVs, and electronics. So it benefits from both safety and industrial demand.

That’s why silver often rises faster than gold! (last one month gain 40%)

You need to understand the reason rather than acting emotionally. That’s how you will be able invest smarter.

I don't know why most people rush through their biggest decisions?


You pick a city because of a job, then spend years wondering why you're not growing. You start working on something because it seemed interesting, not because it actually moved you forward. 

And by then, so much time has passed that you can't even see the damage.

What's wild is that these are things that determine who you meet and what ideas come your way. But we treat them like we're picking a coffee order.

I see people spending weeks optimizing small things, their morning routine, productivity system, while never actually questioning the big stuff. 

Whether they're in the right place, with the right people, doing the right work. 
A crucial aspect of these decisions is that they compound over the years. 

You don't notice the impact until you're deep in it. By then, recovery is difficult.

I think the people who actually build something meaningful have thought before saying yes to everything and created space to figure things out

That's the difference I've seen play out over and over.

Your followers are the worst test audience for your ideas!


Instagram admitted this and built a feature around it.

Instagram just weaponized the concept of "testing before scaling," and it changes everything about how serious creators should approach publishing.

Trial Reels are a filtration layer as Instagram shows your reel only to non-followers in a controlled test. So it is just cold distribution to strangers who have 0 reason to care about you. 

The logic is that if strangers won't stop scrolling, your followers won't either.

So you post late at night (typically 12-1 am performs best) & within 24 hours, Instagram feeds you the real data on retention, completion, engagement. Then you get one decision, share it with your entire audience or discard it.

This helps in knowing whether an idea deserves your audience's attention.

Most creators won't see this feature, it's a limited rollout tied to eligibility thresholds that Instagram hasn't disclosed. You either have access or you don't.

Instagram is moving toward a world where ideas get stress-tested before they scale. And the creators who adapt first will have an unfair advantage over those who follow later.

The future of content creation is about publishing like an operator.

Your family is legally paying more tax than it should.

Every family out there is filing taxes as individuals when they could legally be filing as a separate entity and saving anywhere from ₹1.5 to ₹2.5+ lakhs annually. 

It's called an HUF, and here's what actually happens when you form an HUF: 

You get a second PAN card and your family becomes a separate taxpayer. 
Now you have 2 basic exemption limits instead of one: that's ₹4 lakh in the new regime (for FY 2025-26) + ₹4 lakh from individual income = ₹8 lakh of combined tax-free income. 

Now, if you own rental property, have business income, or ancestral wealth, an HUF lets you distribute that income across the family structure, pushing it into lower tax brackets. I've seen families save ₹2,52,000 in a single year just through proper income allocation.

You get separate deductions under Section 80C (₹1.5 lakh), capital gains exemptions that literally double when you split investments between you and your HUF and on rental income, you can claim up to ₹2 lakh deduction annually on home loan interest. 

And if you co-own property with your HUF, you can save ₹3.5 lakhs in total tax relief legally available.

I would always recommend people to keep yourself updated with tax hacks and updates, it plays an important role in wealth building.

Content creators are not making as much money as you think. 


Some people are broke because they're creating content for the sake of it. If you have a decent phone with decent video quality and if you are consistent, you can get followers. 

But you have to have influence on them if you want to make money. 

And in order to make that quality content, you have to consume better quality content. 

When you're consuming random reels, you're giving yourself quick dopamine hits that have almost no depth.

But if you read books, articles or newsletters, you will stay updated with the latest knowledge and you will have much content to create for people.

Here's what you can do. Start consuming better content by watching podcast interviews and reading case studies from failed companies.

Therefore the better your consumption, the better your original thinking becomes. 

When I read 5 different perspectives on why a company failed, I find the pattern no one else sees and that becomes my content.

Your audience wants a breakdown of how to save taxes or build wealth and they want to understand the logic behind it. That only comes if you're consuming at a level deeper than your audience.

So if you want to create content that actually builds authority, you have to consume like an authority first.

GenZ's are mad about startups! 

They are literally asking better questions than people with 10+ years of experience. 

Trust me, I was blown away when a VC friend mentioned this yesterday over the phone. That conversation made me think about how we rarely discuss these in finance circles.

He said that when younger professionals are given the right resources, context and exposure, they tend to perform exceptionally well, regardless of the field they come from.

When you think about venture capital and private equity, you often misunderstand that you can crack it with an MBA or only when you come from a tier-1 college. But that is not the case. The reality is understanding how capital actually flows and why certain deals get funded while others don't.

And what usually separates those from who get into top VCs from those who don't:

1. They understand unit economics before pitch decks - Most people focus on the story. Top VCs focus on whether the math works at scale. Can you spot the difference between a company burning cash for growth vs. one with a bad business model?

2. They know the "adjacency game" - Every investment fits into a thesis. Top firms build portfolios where companies complement each other. Understanding this gives you an unfair advantage in sourcing and evaluation.

3. They've done real work - There's no substitute for actually digging into deal memos, modeling cap tables, or conducting due diligence. Theory only takes you so far.

The best part is that these skills aren't gatekept by pedigree. They're learnable at any stage and any time. The younger generation gets this and that is why they're building the knowledge systematically.

Your favorite Indian car brand might become EXTINCT in 10 years!


India just agreed to slash luxury car import duties from 110% to as low as 10% by 2030.

It might sound great for consumers, but what actually happens: Mercedes, BMW, Porsche can flood the Indian market at impossible-to-beat prices

--> Local luxury car manufacturers can get wiped out
--> Thousands of jobs can vanish from Pune, Delhi and Mumbai assembly plants
--> Indian entrepreneurs can tend to lose a multi-billion rupee industry

This is the trade-off NOBODY mentioned when they called it the "Mother of All Deals."

The India-EU Strategic Agenda covering 25% of global GDP is good for the Indian Economy and important also. But we're trading long-term job security for short-term consumer goods cheaper.

The government thinks it's a worthy trade for geopolitical alignment and I'm not convinced.

Why is nobody talking about the most important metal?


Everyone is arguing about gold and silver for 2025, meanwhile, the most important one is being ignored.

I am talking about Copper because it is a highly growth metal.

An electric vehicle uses almost 4x more copper than a regular car. And if we add charging stations, renewable power, data centres and electronics, then copper is at the centre of global electrification.

Now the problem is that the UN estimates the world needs 80 new copper mines with $250 billion of investment in the next few years. That’s close to impossible, because a copper mine takes 15–25 years to become operational!

Therefore, the demand is rising fast, but supply simply can’t keep up.

Chile, Peru and Australia mine it. China, Japan, Germany and the US process it.
India has become the second-largest importer of copper, with demand up 70% in seven years, even after recycling!

Ask any manufacturer what scares them the most and they’ll tell you this- “copper prices.”

They’ve nearly doubled in 5 years. You can trade copper on MCX. You can look at global miner ETFs or study processors like Hindalco and Sterlite.

(I don’t invest in copper directly and none of them is a buy or sell recommendation. Please do your due diligence before investing.)

Oil means Power. 


And that is becoming a leveraged asset these days. 

What’s happening around Venezuela is an example of how the world actually works when strategic resources are involved.

I will tell you what is going on:
--> Venezuela sits on the largest oil reserves on the planet
--> Control over that oil means influence over global supply and pricing
--> It also reshapes power equations in the US–China–Russia triangle

This move is calculated because energy is the fastest way to project power without firing a shot in multiple regions at once.

This means resources that decide alliances, currencies and pressure points.
And here’s why this matters for India (directly):

-- India depends heavily on imported crude
-- Venezuelan heavy oil is a strong fit for Indian refineries
-- Any shift in supply impacts fuel prices, inflation and the rupee
-- Diversifying beyond the Middle East and Russia strengthens India’s bargaining power
-- There’s also potential recovery of long-stuck Indian dues

These days, geopolitics hasn’t become more ethical, it’s become more efficient.
For India, moments like these are windows of strategic opportunity!
