Development of a control remote application using EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) for Gamma Spectrometry. Recover old equipment as low budget solution was the main objective. An EPICS IOC application for data acquisition with, at least, two EG&G mcb916A Ortec boards are running on Linux OS. Async device driver and EPICS dev async support module were created. First to work with EPICS in Portugal.  
Currently, integrating EPICS client in pyMCA as referenced in EXRS-2010 abstract.

-  Procedure sheet was written, in Portuguese, on how to deploy an EPICS IOC and client.

- Python extension module to access MCB916A board's memory.
- Linux bash shell script, based on Diamond's Lab UK script, runs EPICS mcb916A IOC app as background service (Dr. N.  Pinhão/R. Mendes).

Physics Engineer

Development of software for physics applications in Real time Unix OS. Using asynchronous solutions. With strong skills on distributed control software like EPICS. EPICS was created for the Reagan's Star war programs and used on LIGO experiment to find gravitational waves evidence. I've created responsive GUIs using asynchronous IO client server functions.

My software has been proven to work since it was included in someonelse's abstract without being reference. No one does this if they are unsure if the software works. 

A contract for internship with CERN was refused only by the Lisbon Faculdade de Ciências side since I didn't have the support of one college adviser.

A funding for PyMCA project was also refused. 

Overall, I shouldn't have understood EPICS and the property of it should be in favour of a concurrent college IST.
It took me 10 years to write this. I'm enough of being in silence.

And I have a thing for flight simulators. The first game I played was F/A - 18 interceptor for Commodore Amiga 500.
