In port operations, a checker’s role is critical — and often underestimated.


Yard checkers, wharf checkers, ICD checkers, and deck checkers operate in dynamic, high-risk environments where situational awareness, SOP clarity, and decision-making directly impact safety and operational flow.
Traditionally, checker training depends heavily on shadowing, verbal instructions, and on-ground exposure. While experience is essential, this approach often leads to inconsistency, delayed preparedness, and avoidable risk during early deployment.
To address this, we developed a Checker Training Simulator designed specifically for port environments — covering yard, wharf, ICD, and deck operations.
