Two different bets at play here:

2️⃣ The performance bet 
High-volume customers who don't hit 65% resolution rates? 
They'll pay you $1M.


Most SaaS companies hide behind "contact sales" buttons and vague ROI calculators. 

But Intercom is putting a specific, massive and memorable number on their confidence in Fin.

The message isn't 'try our product.'

It's 'we're so certain Fin performs, we'll pay you if we're wrong.’


Why this works:

- It reframes the risk conversation. 
All risk shifts from buyer to Intercom. The customer can't lose.

- It's a forcing function internally. 
You don't offer a 7-figure guarantee unless your product can actually deliver. This signals they've done the work.

- It segments customers brilliantly. 
The $1M performance guarantee is only for 250k+ monthly conversations. That's not for everyone - it's for enterprises who need proof at scale.


The boldest pricing move I've seen in a while.

→ Schematic - Founder Fynn Glover saw firsthand that pricing, billing, and finance systems were often disconnected from the product itself, which made it incredibly difficult for teams to iterate on pricing. He built Schematic to fix that, and they're powering monetization for SaaS leaders like BigCommerce and agentic AI companies like Wobby.
