It's messy, magical, and unpredictable and I bring that lens into every project.

If you want to chat events,  complain about labor and wifi costs, or share dog pics,  I'm ready to go.

The event industry moves fast. 

Trends can fade away just as quickly as they become truths. 

Wellness is no longer a trend. 

It's a truth. 

We've read the stories. 
We've heard the testimonials. 
We have the numbers to back it up. 

Inclusivity doesn't mean a 30 minute yoga session shoehorned into a 3 day conference. 

It doesn't mean having diet coke and sprite as your "NA Options". 

Everyone should be seeing this as an opportunity to level up their event. 

Some very bright event pros are banging the drum about this and it's high time more people start listening.

I'm back with another "Hey they're making the movie going experience fun again" example. 

Well, unless you hate exercise. 

The Long Walk is a Stephen King story. 

It's about a dystopian future (that looks eerily familiar!) where there is a walking competition.

Last one standing wins. 

It's... harsh. 

Lionsgate took that premise and invited the audience to take part in the experience. 

Yet another cool example in a long line of growing experiential activations. 

I'll be going tonight and an excited. 

But I'll be very stationary while eating a tub of popcorn.

Here's my big takeaway from a recent Ad Age article about experiential marketing.


We're tired, man.

We're tired of cookie cutter influencers that will rep anything for a dime.

We're tired of AI generated marketing campaigns that were created not to be innovative, but to cut down on billable hours.

We're tired of events where brands just show up because they've just kind of...always showed up.

Authenticity is no longer a nice add on, it's the premium.

Ad Age thinks experiential will be the "bedrock" of every (smart) brand's 
marketing plans by 2030.

I find it hard to disagree with that statement.

People are yearning for things that evoke emotion.

IRL is more important than ever.

And how you show up matters.
