𝐏𝐒: What’s your favorite memory of your parents - your first teachers ?

𝐏𝐏𝐒: My parents circa 1980

Today is the forced closing of the company you led for 15 years.

It wasn’t a competitor that took you out.
It was a machine that made you extinct.

You ignored it. Called it a fad.
Then you panic-bought a few Copilot licenses and sent a memo:

Nothing changed.
Because you delegated it like a software rollout.

Men’s Health Awareness Month is ending, and Vulnerability is in vogue again. 

Be vulnerable - They said. Open up  - They said. Talk about it  - They said.

No one Said -  𝐯𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐧

If you have status and credibility, you can cry in public and people call you brave. 
If you do not, you may get labeled unstable. At work, that can cost trust and promotions.

I learned a different kind of strength from my father.

I saw him cry three times in my life. 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞! And I’m glad it was not more than that.

Not because he was numb. Because his tears were rare, and therefore sacred. 
Even when his beloved grandmother was dying, he stayed steady. He carried responsibility first.

That steadiness protected our family.

So no, I am not saying bottle it up.

I am saying your vulnerability is precious. 
Choose the right container. Mentors. Therapist. Coach. Inner circle.

Your team does not need your storm. 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠.
