now i'm scared every single day.

will this piece work? will it get traction? should i have a backup ready?
every post, every campaign, every comment, i'm watching it like my life depends on it.

because when you're working on the side of the internet that is proactive af, it kinda does.

you can't just do the work anymore.
you have to make sure every piece stands out. gets engagement. moves the needle.

that's the shift nobody tells you about.

from "let me create good stuff" to "let me create good stuff that actually performs."

and honestly, some days it's exhausting.
but it's also what separates people who are just posting from people who are actually building something.

doing it just for the sake of doing it? that takes you nowhere.
doing it with intention, with urgency, with a plan b in your back pocket? that's the game now.

dynamic or dead. no in-between.

I started writing 5 years ago.
Daily logs. Learning to code. Documenting everything.

The English? Terrible.
Grammar mistakes everywhere. Punctuation was a suggestion. Spelling was... creative.

I didn't care what was "actually happening."
I just showed up.

Every. Single. Day.

And the people? Supportive af. Can't even explain how much.

But here's what compounded:

I was never chasing instant growth.

Five years later, the results speak louder than any polished first draft ever could.

and i realized i’ve been doing research the hard way for no reason.

dropped in reports.
youtube videos.
random web links i’d normally just skim and forget.

asked simple questions like:
“how does this company actually make money?”
“what changed year over year?”
“what ideas keep repeating across sources?”

it answered with sources.
line by line.

no guessing.
no hallucinations.
just clarity.

what surprised me most wasn’t speed.
it was the ideas.

connections i wouldn’t have made.
patterns across videos, blogs, and reports.
angles i’d normally miss.

since then, i keep thinking about this in every sector:
finance.
saas.
education.
even competitors.

what used to take hours now takes minutes.

still feels underused tbh.

No AGI magic.
No self-learning utopia.
No "models will figure it out."

Just experts.
Doctors spending hours teaching models nuanced cancer concepts.

been thinking about this a lot lately.
we spent a decade optimizing for clicks.
SEO. SEM. content calendars built around keywords.
the whole playbook.

and it worked.
80% of B2B buyers started their journey on Google.
that was the game.

but by 2027, maybe 2028, 95% of B2B buyer journeys will start inside an LLM.
ChatGPT. Claude. Perplexity. whatever wins.

that's a completely different game.

you can't just optimize for clicks anymore.
you have to build influence.
you have to show up where AI is learning about your space.

the skills that matter now:
AI engine optimization. how do you get cited by an LLM?
multimodal thinking. text won't cut it. your site needs video, voice, structured data.
authority over volume. one great answer beats 50 mediocre blog posts.

most companies are still hiring for the old game.
keyword research. backlinks. page speed.

meanwhile the buyer are asking an AI.
and if you're not in that response, you don't exist.

i'm not saying abandon SEO tomorrow.
but if you're not experimenting with how AI surfaces your brand right now, you're already behind.

the next two years will separate the teams who saw this coming from the ones who didn't.

cool story.

but let’s be honest for a second.
it wasn’t the landing page.

it was dev shipping at 2am. 
sales crying through 47 cold calls. 
ops keeping the whole thing from falling apart.
the landing page was… there.

yet somehow designers are out here taking full credit. 
and b2b founders are eating it up.

₹40k for a single page. 
living in india. 
pricing like they’re in brooklyn.

here’s my confession:

my first paying clients?
no landing page. 
no fancy animations. 
no “conversion-optimized above the fold hero section.”

just a link to my work. a google doc with case studies.

made around Rs2L that month. felt rich.

the landing page didn’t close deals. 
the work did. 
the conversations did. 
the trust did.

and now with Variant, Claude, Cursor - you can ship a decent page yourself in an hour. 

maybe two if you’re slow like me.

i’m not saying landing pages don’t matter.
i’m saying they matter way less than people 
selling them want you to believe.

save that Rs40K. 
buy your team dinner. 
run some ads. start outbound.
or just send me a watch hehe.

but spending this on a page when the whole stack costs less?
idk man. am i the only one thinking this?

i've been seeing a lot of SEO experts lately.
optimization gurus. AEO specialists. XYZZZ whatever that is.

everyone's chasing the acronym.
the framework. the hack.

but...

they're skipping the part that actually matters.
the organic grind. the thing you can't shortcut.

you know what real SEO is?
it's writing 100 blog posts before one ranks.
it's answering the same question 47 different ways until you find the angle that clicks.
it's showing up when nobody's watching.

that's not sexy.
that's not a LinkedIn carousel.
that's just work.

and most people don't want to hear it.
they want the template. the tool. the growth hack that scales overnight.

but SEO, AEO, whatever letters you stack together, they're all just outcomes.
byproducts of doing the thing nobody wants to do.

consistently. quietly. without applause.

you can optimize all you want.
but if there's nothing real underneath? you're just rearranging furniture in an empty room.

the algorithms reward the grind.
not the people who think they've figured out the algorithm.

if you've been doing this long enough, you know what i mean.

the automation bros have replaced the hustle bros. and somehow it's worse.
2019 linkedin was unbearable.

"i wake up at 4am." "i cold shower before my cold calls." "i read 97 books this year."
we made fun of them. we thought it was over.

but now?

"this clay table finds 10,000 leads while i sleep." 
"i replaced my entire marketing team with one n8n workflow." 
"watch me automate my whole business in 47 steps."

same energy. just nerdier.

at least the hustle bros touched grass once in a while. these guys haven't left their notion dashboard in 6 months.

and the comments. oh the comments.
"this is insane 🔥" 
"need this template asap" 
"bro you're changing lives"

sir it's a screenshot of boxes connected with arrows. relax.
the funniest part?
nobody ever posts the results.

just the workflow. just the nodes. 
because the workflow IS the content. 
the outcome was never the point.
and honestly? respect. 

it works. the engagement is real.
but let's stop pretending it's anything deeper than that.

anyway. going back to my 84-step automation that prints cash while i meditate.

newsletters die when the voice dies.
seen it happen too many times.

founder writes. readers love it. newsletter grows.
then founder tries to scale. hires a writer. voice disappears.
engagement drops. unsubscribes spike.

the content is still good.
but it's not the same.

here's the thing though:
the hustle sold for $27M.
morning brew for $75M.
milk road in the low 7-figures.

all of them handed off writing.
all of them kept the voice.

so it's possible. just not easy.

most people overcomplicate this.
they look for "newsletter writers" or "content specialists."
wrong move.

if i was hiring for my newsletter today, here's exactly what i'd do:

start with interest, not experience.
if you write about crypto, find someone who actually cares about crypto. not someone who just knows how to write.

don't give them the whole newsletter.
pick one recurring segment. the news roundup. the weekly deep dive. whatever.

hand them everything they need.
sources. research links. instructions. don't make them guess.

set a real deadline.
see how they work under actual conditions.

judge everything.
speed. quality. tone. whether they get the vibe or need 47 edits to sound human.

you'll probably go through3-5 writers before you find your person.
that's normal.

but when you find them, you unlock time.
time to grow. time to build. time to actually work on the business instead of being stuck in the content hamster wheel.

yeah, AI can help with this.
but there's a difference between a writer who gets your space and someone who's just good at prompting claude.

one scales with you.
the other scales until it doesn't.
