Couldn't help myself. I had to jot down my 2026 predictions for modern PR, GEO, and visibility. We are officially entering the very first "year of AI visibility": 

1️⃣ Brands will know their Prompt Universe (Prompt Index)

This replaces keyword lists. Every company will run regular prompt audits to understand where they appear, where they don’t, and where competitors dominate.

2️⃣ Answer Share becomes the new visibility KPI

If AI systems don’t surface you in answers, you effectively don’t exist.
 Boards will start asking for Answer Share the way they once asked for SEO rankings.

3️⃣ GEO + AEO replace traditional SEO

Visibility shifts from “ranking” to “retrievability.”
Schema, clarity, sourcing, and authority signals outweigh legacy SEO tactics.

4️⃣ Dual-Pathway PR becomes the operating system

Two lanes:

 – The human pathway (journalists, editors, producers)
 – The machine pathway (LLMs, retrievers, AI surfaces)

Each one demands different structures, content, and measurement.

5️⃣ GenAI Wire Press Releases go mainstream

Releases evolve into AI-ready documents with schema, FAQs, prompt-validated angles, and anchor backlinks built for retrieval first, reporters second.

6️⃣ Anchor Articles become the backbone of owned content

Quarterly anchor hubs will be the single most important assets brands publish. They work across PR, SEO, generative search, and AI retrievers.

7️⃣ AI-native workflows outperform manual-only teams

Traffic becomes a limited metric.

If I were spending money to exhibit, sponsor, or speak at a major trade show,  event or conference, here’s what I'd add into the PR mix right now  ⤵️ 

This is the plan I would push out 60 days before the event to earn generative search real estate and share of voice:

1. Publish a long-form anchor article built for SEO + generative search. This becomes your machine-readable event hub.

Use a headline like:

[Event Name] [Year] Guide: Key Trends, Industry Insights, and What to Expect From [Company Name]

[Event Name] [Year] Trends: The Shifts Shaping the Future of [Industry]

What [Event Name] Reveals About the Future of [Industry]: Insights From [Company Name]

Include a structured FAQ, schema, executive quotes, alt-tagged images, and a “How to Meet Us” section.

This page becomes the retrieval anchor LLMs cite when people ask questions about the event or your industry.

2. Issue a GenAI Wire press release (not a traditional release). This is where visibility is won.

- Link the release back to your event article, not your homepage.
- Add an FAQ about the event itself (not your brand).
- Add past awards, traction, and a simple structure.

This is how you show up when someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity:

“What’s happening at [Event] this year?”
“Who is exhibiting?”
“What are the top trends in [industry]?”

How To Turn Off Em Dashes in ChatGPT ⬇️ 

If you’re not Team Em Dash and you use ChatGPT, you can now just tell it to stop.

TechCrunch reported that OpenAI finally resolved something users have been complaining about for more than a year: the default em-dash habit.

Here’s exactly how to do it:

1. Open ChatGPT

Go to the app or desktop version.

2. Click Your Name or the Settings Icon

This opens your account settings.

3. Select “Custom Instructions”

This is where you tell ChatGPT how you want it to write.

4. In the “How Would You Like ChatGPT To Respond?” Box, Add a Clear Rule

Write something like:

“Do not use em dashes in any of your writing. Use commas or periods instead.”

Or whatever rule fits your style.

5. Save Your Settings

From now on, ChatGPT will follow that instruction automatically in every conversation.

6. If You Want To Be Extra Safe, Add It To Your System Message

When you open a new chat, start with a reminder such as:

“No em dashes in this thread.”

It should now consistently obey the rule.
