My recent bank visit marked a lifelong memory I wasn’t prepared for.

I walked in for routine work. 
Just another normal day. Or so I thought.

But what came next blindsided me completely.

While my work was getting done, the lady at the counter and I were chatting when she asked, “So… what do you do?”

Usually, when I don’t feel like extending the conversation…

I’d say I’m doing my Master’s (true)
and quietly add the expected lie… “preparing for government exams.”

(The obvious answer people assume for youngsters from my city 🤷)

But that day, I DIDN’T.

I looked at her and said,
