led multi-continent sourcing programs that reduced quote lead time and improved EBIT on
early-stage product launches.

My practical delivery is informed by doctoral research into algorithm ↔ process
dependencies — design the process first; the AI follows.

Week 2 of Launchpad COLA is officially underway — and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it.

For those who haven’t seen it yet, Launchpad GVL just graduated its first founder cohort — and now the program has expanded to Columbia, with Cohort 2 launching at the Boyd Innovation Center, powered by GrowCo.

I’m honored to be a part of this new wave of founders in Cohort 2, with Automations24 building Tendral — a platform designed to help small businesses automate like an enterprise and operate like a startup.

Last week, Alan "F3 Zorro" Blakeborough kicked things off with high energy, honest conversation, and the second cohort founders who are genuinely building something real. This week, we’re being paired with our mentors — experienced operators, investors, and leaders who are ready to help us scale quickly and effectively.

It’s humbling to be surrounded by so much talent, collaboration, and purpose. Programs like Launchpad GVL and Boyd Innovation Center are proving that South Carolina isn’t just watching the startup scene — we’re building it.

This week, I received the most honest leadership feedback of my career .... and it came from my son’s fifth-grade teacher.

“He has so much potential. When he’s engaged, he’s unstoppable… but he’s streaky. One day laser-focused, the next distracted. He thrives when working alone — and sometimes struggles to let others lead.”

It hit me like a performance review I didn’t know I was getting.  Because let’s be honest — that’s not just my 10-year-old. That’s me.

 That’s most founders. Most teams. Most companies.

⚡ Some days we’re all-in .... creative, curious, building something remarkable.

 😵‍💫 Other days, we’re knee-deep in chaos, distracted by shiny things or stuck in our own feedback loops.

And yet, when I sat there  I realized: the classroom is the perfect model for leadership.  It’s modular. Adaptive. Feedback-driven.  It’s Scrum with crayons.

You observe. You guide. You let the system self-organize.  And when the volcano erupts (literally, in our case), you don’t panic ...  you observe, learn, and laugh.

That’s leadership in the wild.  It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. And it’s where real growth happens.
