My journey into tech was entirely by chance. I started my career with a passion for human psychology and economic development and worked on microfinance initiatives for the underserved in rural Indonesia—people who lacked access to phones and traditional banking systems. This experience introduced me to the potential of tech in expanding access. 

Over time, I found myself drawn to product management because it fascinated me – the process of building what people use, a blend of psychology, anthropology, economics, engineering, and design. Throughout my career, I have built and scaled products across consumer, enterprise, and government sectors. I shipped and grew products aimed at expanding education access at Udacity, enabling access to essential healthcare resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, and supporting individuals in pursuing healthier lives at Noom. 

In addition to building products, I aim to merge my passion for social impact with my expertise in product management. In 2019, I co-founded Cusp Impact, where I provide product and strategy consulting to mission-driven organizations. Over the past years, I have consulted with +10 clients including a digital health startup in Libya, Egypt's first fintech VC, and Iraq's first startup accelerator. I have also authored a research paper (published at MIT) on the role of entrepreneurship ecosystems in advancing economic development in emerging markets, with a focus on the digital health sector in Vietnam.

A brilliant friend of mine is looking for a freelance designer and a freelance product manager to help with an early-stage startup project. 

Both roles are part-time (up to 10–15 hours a week) and best suited for someone experienced, proactive, and scrappy — with good product taste, a hypothesis-driven mindset, and a love for bringing early ideas to life.

We’ll also be collaborating a bit, so there’s a preference for folks I’ve worked with before or who come recommended by people I trust.

I get déjà vu at work all the time. It usually goes like this: a few people say they all agree on something, so I write it down and ask them to read it and tell me if that’s what they meant. Some say, “Exactly,” others point out what I missed, and a few say, “No, not quite.” Almost every time, it helps clarify what we’re actually saying or shows that we’ve been talking about different things altogether.

Over time, I’ve realized how powerful writing and visuals can be in uncovering gaps and misalignments that conversation alone often hides. I’ve also become very wary of the "false consensus effect," the tendency to overestimate how much others share our views.

These days, I try to start with the opposite assumption: we probably see (at least some things) things differently. And we should definately talk about that.
