I was in charge of the Corps’ career development as a senior leader. I lead major unit meetings of 23 cadets to prepare them to lead their people. I provided mentorship, motivation, challenges, and accountability for 18 freshmen in the Corps of Cadets. Coached two specific fish to give their best in all they do, have integrity, and take pride in their work. I also directly lead 55 cadets through challenging unit training times developing them physically and mentally.

Help to coordinate with over 300 companies and offer 45 corporate information sessions to students seeking internships and jobs. I am an advisor for all programs and events planned, coordinated, and/or executed by the Career Readiness chain. I moderate the Career Readiness Point submissions and is responsible for overseeing the Major Unit point approval/disapproval. I'm responsible for disseminating over 100 CR opportunities and information to 2,500 cadets using the Corps website, slack, email, PowerPoints, the career readiness calendar. I am also responsible for working with and providing resources to the Intentional Leadership Conference and the Nichols Rising Leadership Conference.

Career Readiness Sergeant of the Corps

Promote career readiness and prepare future leaders within my outfit in the Corps of Cadets. Organize and facilitate weekly career readiness events conducts professional development opportunities. Monitor progression & offer assistance for 51 cadets throughout the school year with editing resumes. It all begins with Freshman Orientation Week, known as FOW, held before school begins. During that week, my buddies and I learned about Corps life, received our uniforms and bonded with the other freshmen in their unit. Throughout freshman year, my buddies and I learned facts about the campus, the university, its traditions, and history. My goal freshman year is to succeed academically while becoming an outstanding cadet. 

Freshmen year I joined the nationally recognized Fish Drill Team. I committed to 25+ hours per week of practice for six months straight with no weekends off. I Earned (21 of 140+) a spot on regulation block where we learned precision military drill and marching. We ended up winning the Tule Invitational Drill Meet and kept the ten-year winning streak of winning the National Championship.
