Don’t hire qualified people and then micromanage them into misery.  

A prospective employer will: 

➡️ Receive a personal referral. 

➡️ Do a resume review to determine fit.

➡️ Facilitate 3 rounds of interviews with a panel. 

➡️ Ask for case studies to show knowledge/expertise. 

Only to then micromanage the new hire and tell them how to do their job. 

Micromanagement is a symptom of a lack of trust and an anxious need to control. 

It’s also the quickest way to lose exceptional employees. 

When someone is vetted and hired, it means that they have the skills and competence to do the job. 

Stop infantilizing and dictating. 

Treat employees like adults and let them work without feeling under the microscope.
