At the University of Tasmania (UTAS), a leading public research institution, I lead the Programme Management Group (PMG), directing strategic initiatives and a multi-million-dollar IT Capital portfolio to enhance project management practices and achieving project success in alignment with organisational goals, in collaboration with the IT Services Senior Executive.

Key Achievements:
• Improved visibility and quality of reporting by introducing new metrics and a KPI dashboard for each project in the portfolio
• Codesigned and led the adoption of a lean project management framework to streamline project delivery processes which was utilised as best practise across other areas of the institution.
• Developed and implemented training tools and an innovative schedule blueprint with an integrated RACI matrix, enhancing project coordination, collaboration, reporting, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Developed an integrated budget Net Present Value (NPV) calculator to improve financial transparency and support strategic decision-making.
• Spearheaded “Black Swan” project metrics and process for Audit, Risk and Compliance 

Responsibilities:
•	Overseeing the management, delivery, and reporting of project benefits while liaising with contracted project managers to resolve complex project matters.
•	Contributing to the development of Project Business Cases and executing additional services pertinent to the delivery of IT Capital Projects as directed by the Associate Director (Enterprise Business Services).
•	Providing strategic counsel to the IT Services Senior Executive Team on the delivery of diverse IT Capital Projects.
•	Orchestrating the successful coordination and delivery of IT Capital Projects while managing interdependencies.
•	Ensuring the timely delivery of project goals and benefits within the overarching portfolio
•	Identification, management, remediation, and reporting of program-level risks and issues.

As Director of Education.  I serve on the Board of Directors, offering leadership and guidance to direct the chapter's initiatives and goals.

The Tasmanian Department of Health is a key government organisation dedicated to providing essential healthcare services to the community. Within the Department of Health ICT division, I served as a consultant, tasked with providing Business Process and Continuous Improvement, Service Analysis, and Service Continuity Plan Framework Design services across a period of four (4) months. Conducted a thorough review and analysis of existing Service Continuity Plans, identifying areas for enhancement in line with the Department of Health Risk Appetite, SOCI Act, ISO standards, and ITIL guidelines.

Key Achievements:

•	This plan received approval from the CIO, Directors, IT teams, and Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams, marking a significant milestone in aligning the division's operations with regulatory standards and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

•	Collaborated with department managers and executives, facilitating workshops and communications to draft, document, and implement a comprehensive, updated Service Continuity Plan.
•	Developed and implemented the SCP, ensuring operational continuity through detailed process mapping, visual aids, and comprehensive documentation.
•	Successfully uplifted the SCP significantly improving the division's risk management processes and aligning operations with regulatory standards and departmental strategies.

Derwent Valley Council

Derwent Valley Council is a local government body situated in southern-central Tasmania, west of Hobart. The council serves a population of around 10,290 people. As a consultant Program Manager I lead and revitalised a stalled high-risk business-critical council-wide Open Office implementation during COVID-19 delivering on time and budget.

Key Achievement:
•	Nominated by the executive and finalist in the TasICT Women in IT awards 2023, recognising the project's success and my leadership in a critical technology transformation.

Responsibilities:
•	Developed a comprehensive project plan detailing scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. Led a project team, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to project timelines through regular reviews and stakeholder communications.
•	Managed project risks by identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.
•	Maintained strict budget management to deliver the project within financial constraints.
•	Implemented change management processes to accommodate and swiftly address any changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.

IT Program Management (Contract via NLH Consulting)

TasNetworks

As the Project Control Analyst for the Marinus Link, an estimated $3.3B federally and locally funded mega project designed to connect Tasmania and Victoria with a 1500 megawatt undersea and underground electricity and data cable, I supported all project streams within the PMO and contributed to the Northwest Transmission Developments (NWTD), enhancing the infrastructure's capacity crucial for the Marinus Link's success.

Key Achievements:
•	Recommended and implemented a RACI matrix to clarify roles and responsibilities across all project schedules, ensuring clear accountability.
•	Configured the project schedule to display all naming conventions for predecessor and successor tasks, enhancing clarity and coordination.
•	Organized all schedules to be stored in a unified directory, facilitating the integration of individual schedules through a master schedule for improved project oversight.

Responsibilities:
•	Led cross-functional communication and data management efforts to maintain up-to-date task progress across all project streams, improving transparency and stakeholder engagement.
•	Produced detailed progress reports and managed project schedules to accurately reflect current statuses and objectives, assisting in strategic project planning and alignment.
•	Identified potential delays and risks, formulating, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to preserve project integrity and adherence to timelines.

Marinus Link Project Control Analyst (Permanent)

In my role as Project Specialist (PM) on the Information Management program and the EDRMS project I oversaw project execution, engaged stakeholders from across TasNetworks, ensured compliance, identified risks, and collaborated with external consultants spanning the entire IM and EDRMS for TasNetworks.

Key Achievement: Facilitated coordinating the RFT scoring 50+ leaders in vendor performance assessment

Artist Choice 

Artist Choice is a B2B distribution company with sole distribution contracts with leading American and North American manufacturers throughout Canada and Ontario. As General Manager responsible for management of all operations, including field sales teams, warehouse, marketing, sales, HR, Contract management and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
•	Managed all operations, including field sales teams, warehouse, marketing, sales and HR
•	Handled all contract management and distribution contracts with leading American and North American manufacturers.
•	Served as the portfolio manager of events and marketing and editor of the Artist Choice monthly magazine
•	Led the sales teams in contracts for various products.
Key Achievements:
•	Successfully managed distribution contracts with 24 leading brands including Wella, Oribe, Milkshake, and American Crew 
•	Led the sales teams in securing contracts for Oribe products into more than 50 new clients in 7 months.
• Project Managed the largest Oribe event in Canada with leading celebrity artists and over 300+ attendees

I am a PMO, Program, and Project specialist consultant with over two decades of experience in Australia and Canada in IT, Finance, and Infrastructure sectors. I am the Director of Education for the Project Management Institute Tasmania and PMI PMO Global Awards Judge.

In Canada, I worked with Microsoft Canada, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and the Toronto Dominion Bank and was recognised for my contributions to high-risk project delivery and Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement by both banks.

In my home state of Tasmania, I have worked with TasNetworks, Marinus Link PMO, the Department of Health ICT, Derwent Valley Council, WorkSafe, and the University of Tasmania IT.  I am Director of Education for the Project Management Institute Tasmanian Chapter and Judge for thr PMI PMO Global Awards 2024.
