I've been working as a Social Media Marketing Manager for a few months.

"How many lakhs are you earning from freelancing?"

A friend once asked me.

I laughed.
Not because it was funny.

But because I’ve heard it too many times.

→ They think freelancing is easy.
→ They think I started yesterday and hit 6 figures overnight.
→ They think it’s all about earning lacs while sipping coffee in the hills.

No one ever asks:

→ How many years have I worked without results?
→ How many rejections did I face in the beginning?

In 2022, I was earning less than 5K/month.

I was learning skills from free YouTube videos.

Sending cold DMs to strangers and getting ghosted every week.
But I didn’t stop.

My simple 8-step system to find LinkedIn post ideas fast.

Most people don't run out of ideas.

They just overthink and post nothing.

Here's the 8-step system I give every client who says, "I don't know what to write about."

Step 1: Open a blank Google Doc
A clean page helps you think clearly.

Step 2: List your 3 content pillars
These are the main themes you want to be known for.

Step 3: Write 3 pain points under each pillar
Think of real struggles your clients face daily.

Step 4: Pick one pain point
Go narrow. Focus on one clear problem.

Step 5: Brainstorm 3 angles
Turn that pain point into a story, a lesson, or a list.

Step 6: Choose your favorite
Go with the one that feels natural to talk about.

Step 7: Add a hook and bullets
Outline before you write. It saves time and builds flow.

Step 8: Start writing
Now the words come easier because the thinking's done.
Think first. Write second.

That's how busy coaches save time and still stay consistent.

P.S. What step usually slows you down when creating content?

I used to think posting once a week was a badge of growth.

Now I see it as a red flag.

That one post used to take me hours.

Writing. Editing. Overthinking.

Then… silence for hours.

No leads. No DMs. No conversations.

Here's what I learned:

→ Posting once a week keeps you invisible.
→ You're not top of mind.
→ And no one remembers what you said last week.

I changed my approach.

I now post 3-5× a week using a simple system:

Monday: Share a personal insight that relates to a lesson.
Wednesday: Post a short tip that saves time.
Friday: Tell a story about a client win or mistake.

(You can post 5x or even 7x a week.)

Each post takes 15 minutes because I repurpose what I already say on calls.

I stopped chasing perfect.

I focused on being consistent and helpful.

Now I get profile views, DMs, and leads without spending hours online.
