👋My name is Miroslav, a Bulgarian-born mixed-methods user experience (UX) researcher on a mission to empower cross-functional product teams in product-led organizations to craft digital experiences with confidence. 

By combining an academic background in behavioral and social sciences with a passion for telling stories with data, I've honed a research foundation as solid as the dykes that protect the Netherlands—the country where I gained access to top-tier education, cultural diversity, and tech.

With 5+ years of experience across tech start-ups, consultancy, and the not-for-profit sector, I helped numerous teams in the USA and Europe understand their audience, groom their product roadmap and confidently make informed business decisions.

🏳️‍🌈 As a Lead UX Researcher at InReach, a tech nonprofit with a free platform for LGBTQ+ verified resources, I identified 5 development priorities for the product team following remote moderated usability tests with 5 service providers who tested the mobile app version (B2B).

🎮 As a Senior UX Researcher at Solsten, a scale-up with a SaaS for AI-generated Persona-based audience insights, I worked closely with the data team to map the data integration flow between 19 game studios and our product; I identified 4 major pain points and provided 10 takeaways to address them (B2B).  

💪 As a freelance UX Researcher, I helped a solo founder understand 9 usability issues and strategically rebrand his desktop SaaS product for healthy lifestyle challenges following user interviews with 5 enthusiasts who were craving the social aspect of their health and wellness (B2C).

It’s Monday.
The calendar is empty.
The inbox is quiet.

As freelancers, we don’t talk enough about these pauses.
Projects slow down, priorities shift, timelines stretch.
And sometimes… things just halt.

I’ve just returned from a family trip (exhausting, anxious, necessary).
With cortisol finally back to baseline, I’m grounding myself again.
And I’m ready for what’s next.

In the past 5 years, I’ve led research across gaming, SaaS, e-commerce, sports, and LGBTQ+ service apps.
My focus: turning mixed-methods data into clarity teams can act on.

Last month, I helped a women-led dev studio improve their 3D learning app for kids: a full UX audit + competitor analysis, resulting in 10+ changes already shipped.

I wanted to treat myself to a new laptop this month.
My poor Lenovo has survived 8+ years of user research, fieldwork, and travel.
It’s now held together by sheer willpower and a few remaining screws.
The screen is unstable.
The battery lasts a minute.
Software struggles on even the lightest days.
Die heeft zijn beste tijd wel gehad … als sinds ik hem in Nederland kocht.
 
But then came my quarterly VAT.
1,600 EUR gone in a click to the Portuguese state.
And so did the laptop budget.
Que pena! 

And of course… it’s Black Friday.
The universe has a sense of humor.

So here I am postponing something I genuinely need because work has slowed down.

Maybe it’s a small story.
But, it’s also a reality for freelancers, solopreneurs, and business owners.
