Support Officer, Communications

Honan Insurance Group

Working as a data administrator and then promoted to claims executive for an Insurance company based in Sydney, Australia.

Responsible for all executive duties such as:

Manually lodging claims from Lloyds, CHUBB and CHU into different systems
Communicating with brokers to submit necessary actions
Processing payments for lodged claims and notifying insurers and brokers
Communicating within a multidisciplinary team to close a claim
Efficient filing and documentation of every action and conversation
Working towards deadlines to ensure all claims have been lodged and processed within 48
hours

Claims Executive

Responsible for all administrator duties including:

Manually renewing insurance policies
Calculating insurance premiums using claims history and rating tools
Communication with underwriters regarding risk assessment
Extensive use of key communication tools such as Outlook and telephone • High attention to detail with the use of outdated systems
Working towards deadlines to hit a 42-day renewal period

I keep thinking I need to post something brilliant… and then I don’t post at all.

Sigh. I’ve fallen off LinkedIn again… & this time it’s been months.
Honestly, I don’t even know if I want to come back.

Anyone else struggling to break through a lack of desire to show up on this platform?!

Part of me can’t be bothered.
Part of me doesn’t have the time.
Part of me is prioritising the work that actually moves the needle in my business.
Part of me feels like if I post again, I have to be consistent, and that feels like too much of a commitment.

There’s a part that thinks my comeback post has to perfectly explain my absence, as if people are owed an explanation.
The part that feels I need to prove I’ve accomplished something in the last three months of my LinkedIn sabbatical.

And then there’s the part that just doesn’t know what to post anymore.

I’ll write something I genuinely think is useful, share insights, research, or tips, and it flops.
Then I post a selfie with some fluffy “Alex Hormozi-style” advice, or another “quit your job, move abroad” take we’ve all read 100+ times… and it gets 600 likes.
Is clickbait really the future of LinkedIn too?

I don’t have all the answers.
And it’s wildly frustrating.

If I see one more “consistency is key” post written with ChatGPT, I might just delete this app altogether.

But then I remember why I built this platform: an unfiltered space to talk about the highs and lows of running my business, building something in your 20s, being an expat, and everything in between.
Topics that genuinely interest me, and where I feel I actually have something to say.

So here I am.
Not with a viral tip, not with a perfect hook.
Just saying hello.
