I co-founded my first company at 21 which, in five years grew to £40 million in sales and employed over 150 staff globally. 

Since then, I have continued to build and grow businesses particularly within the Talent Acquisition and media sectors. 

I'm best known for connecting people, community building, proposition development, event strategy, leadership, training, motivation, speaking, business development and problem solving.

Sport has always been a significant part of my life.  I have achieved a world-ranking in squash and am striving for a place on the national team. Additionally, I have represented South East England in chess and found success at club level in swimming, cricket, and football. I am currently attempting to complete a 5k run in under 18 minutes - but that's proving to be a real challenge!

Absolutely thrilled to see so many more recruitment industry people getting #new #jobs after the tough times of 2025.

💡 Are we seeing more positive signs of recovery in the #Talent #Acquisition landscape and wider UK Economy?

I have over 32,000 followers, many of them leaders in the TA/recruitment industry. Please cast your vote in this industry poll to help give us an insightful look at hiring patterns in the UK right now.

It's also worth bearing in mind these positive signs...

⚡ Employer hiring intentions are improving, with UK organisations showing a net +13 short-term and +15 medium-term confidence in expanding permanent headcount — the strongest in over two years.

⚡ Real wages are rising again, with regular pay up 4.6% and real-terms pay growing 0.5%, helping unlock greater employee confidence and mobility.

⚡ Employment levels are edging up, with the UK employment rate rising to 75.2%, slightly higher than both last quarter and last year.

⚡ Vacancy declines are slowing, with total openings stabilising at around 720,000+ — a key sign the labour market downturn may be bottoming out.

⚡ Lower-paid and mid-level roles are becoming more attractive, with median weekly earnings up 5.3% (1.1% real-terms) — boosting candidate movement in high-volume segments.

So, will some of this lead to increased confidence, higher labour demand, and drive more jobs in Talent Acquisition? We all hope so.

And with the upcoming #Budget expected to focus on #growth and #investment, how many employers are feeling incrementally more confident about future hiring?
