I quit my job in tech because I couldn’t find any joy in it anymore.

I felt like I was just doing what society told me to do... being “good” according to their rules.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t keep pretending to live while feeling half-alive.

So I went back to my first passion... my first love: writing.

Now, I’m building my life around writing and humor.

I write to feel. I write to understand myself and make sense of the world.

And honestly? I feel lighter every time I let it out.

My last day was 5 weeks ago. 
 
If you’d asked me then why I quit my job,
I would’ve said, “I don’t know.”

But the truth is: I did.
I just didn’t want to admit it.
I was afraid to say the words,
even to myself.

I thought I had more time.
More time to hide my shame.

But time runs fast.
It doesn’t wait for anyone.
It doesn’t hear our screams.

At some point, you have to face reality...
to own your actions,
to admit your truth.

I chose this path for a reason.
And it’s time to scream it out loud.

I wanted something else.
I hated living like a robot,
hiding my pain behind a mask
of fake smiles and a mountain of
“Sure, no problem.”

I didn’t want to say it,
because I thought people would think
I’m weak.
Childish.
Foolish.

I was afraid I’d start believing those things, too.

But I’m not afraid anymore.

I quit my job to write.
I quit my job to feel.
I quit my job to live.

And I don’t regret it.
Not one bit.

Get a job. Go to the bank. Prove you have a steady income.

Get a loan. Max out all your credit cards.

Rent a luxury car, buy designer clothes... 
rent a mansion or at least a very cool apartment. 

Pretend to be rich online... Tell everyone that you got that rich because you're so AWESOME or something. 

Post 7 million car selfies... 
Teach weak people DISCIPLINE by posting gym-mirror selfies. 

Convince people to buy your course so that they can be as rich and luxurious as you. 

Attack strangers online for absolutely no reason.

Get rich for real or go to jail. 

Mission accomplished. 
Either way you won't worry about food or rent again. 

(This is a joke, please don't try this at home.)

So many people disconnect from me right after sending a connection request.

Honestly, I prefer that to being blocked... it feels more humane.

I’m not sure why it happens so often.

Am I a monster? Or God forbid, am I a salesperson? 

Moral of the story?

DON'T SEND ME A CONNECTION REQUEST. 

I’ll probably accept, and then you’ll see my jokes, my memes… and disappear immediately.

And my heart… it’ll remember you forever as the LinkedIn user who smashed it into small, insignificant pieces.

This post is childish, I wish I could unconnect from myself.

Apparently, there's something called "Thanksgiving" in the U.S. 

They're sitting in the same area with their "family", "friends", "loved ones", and stuff like that. For some reason, food is also a big deal for them today. 

Anyway, I hope they'll have time to sneak away from their "families" to do the things that actually matter... you know.... like scrolling on LinkedIn.

Me: hey, linkedin I have 16600 followers. Can you please show them my post?

LinkedIn: Cute, I'll show your post to 0.74% of them.

The good thing about being unemployed is that...

I like pizza again.

I lost hope.
Not once, not twice… 

I lost it so so many times.

But it comes back. It always does.
It says “Hi,” it waves, it smiles.

It revives my soul. It makes me whole.

I’m not throwing the dice, I’m not throwing in the towel… I’m not throwing anything.

I’m moving forward… slowly.
Because even without hope, I’m always hopeful for its majestic return.

For a platform where 90% of the content is somehow AI-related, you'd think their app would be smart enough to differentiate between employers and job seekers. 

But nooooo. 

For the 100th time, LinkedIn, I'm not hiring anyone.

Self doubt really said: 
Why would anyone care about you and your words? 



And I spiraled... 
I overthought everything... 
I believed it... 



Imagine if we all surrendered to doubt... to fear. 

Imagine if we all gave up before even trying. 



That's a world I don't want to live in. 
A world I can't live in.

Also said my friends, my teachers, my bosses, and even people I look up to.


You probably heard it too.
And we believed it.
We let it rule our lives.


The message we were taught:

We have to be miserable to afford living.

It's better than being lazy.

Better than being one of those guys “wasting their lives” looking for passion or purpose or pfttt!! RIDICULOUS.


But is it really laziness?


Do I hate work?


Or am I just not aligned?
Whatever this means.

I remember passion.
I remember spending days working happily... 
it was hard, but I was fully there.

So it can't be laziness.
I'm not allergic to hard work...
→ I'm just not meant to be the key 
     that matches that specific lock.


There's a reason we're drawn to people who follow their passion:

We want to be like them.
We want to feel that fire.


Not because we're lazy or we don't want to work, but because we want to do the work 
that makes us feel alive.
The work that energizes us, not drains us.

There's nothing wrong with that, "hustle guy."


We just want to live more than we want more zeros on our payslips...
but that would be cool too.
